Crochet caterpillar diagram and description. Crochet caterpillar cord: step-by-step instructions with a detailed description of the knitting process

Many needlewomen knit toys. And these are mostly dolls and animals. In the same master class we will tie an insect. This will be a sweet and kind caterpillar.

To knit a caterpillar we will need:

  • Yarn in pink, flesh and lilac colors;
  • Hook;
  • Beads (2 pcs.);
  • Needle;
  • Filler.

First we will knit the body of the caterpillar. It consists of several small balls. We will knit all these balls inseparably, in one piece.

We will knit only five balls. Let's start with pink yarn. We make the first 2 loops for further knitting, and knit 6 stitches into one loop. We will knit the toy without crochet using regular stitches.

And we simply knit 2 rows in the round.

Now we will make decreases in 3 stitches of the row.

And fill the part with padding polyester or any other filler.

Attach a lilac thread. And we knit our second ball.

We make increases in every 2nd loop, in a new row in every 3rd. And in one more row we will randomly make 2 increases.

We knit 2 rows. Now we will reduce our twenty loops to fourteen, that is, we will make 6 decreases. We will perform each of them in the 3rd loop.

Again we knit the ball in pink.

We change the thread.

And we knit 2 more balls (pink and lilac) in the same way as the previous one. We tighten the last ball to close the hole.

The body for our caterpillar is connected.

We knit her head from flesh-colored yarn.

Let's make 2 loops and 6 stitches in a loop.

Now we are knitting four rows and we will make increases in all of them. There will be 6 of them in each. First we make them in all loops, then in the 2nd, in the 3rd, in the 4th.

We knit 2 rows.

And we decrease first in the row in the 4th, then in the other row in the 3rd, in the 2nd and all.

We knit the paws like this. 6 stitches in one loop and three increases in the second row. And another row.

In total you need to knit ten paws.

We knit a hat with lilac yarn. We make 6 stitches in a loop. Increase in the second row in all loops, in the third – in the 2nd.

And we knit 2 rows. We will knit the next row with double crochets, 2 per loop.

The caterpillar cord is very popular. This cord is most often used as a belt, strap or string for a mobile phone. It can be used as a hair decoration. Some curtains use laces to make them unique and easy to use. “Caterpillar” can be an excellent basis for beads or necklaces. Making an interesting and bright Caterpillar cord step by step using a hook is quite simple and even a beginner can knit it.

We crochet a caterpillar cord step by step with diagrams and descriptions

When knitting any product, if you are a beginner, be sure to use the pattern of the product. It greatly simplifies and facilitates the work. The cord diagram is shown in the photo below.

First we need to throw on three air loops. Now turn the knitting away from you 180 degrees. Place the hook under the bow of the first loop. Having captured the thread, we should get two threads. We hook the thread again and pull it through a couple of loops on the hook. Turn it 180 degrees again.

By inserting the hook under the resulting bow, we must grab the thread. We get two loops, through each of them we pull the captured thread. We turn away from ourselves again, we get two arms. Insert the hook under the arms and grab the threads twice. Pull the thread through both loops. We unscrew it again, insert it, grab the thread with a hook and pull it through.

We repeat the sequence of actions until you get the cord of the length you need.

Wide cord.

Using a hook you can get not only a thin cord, but also a wide one. This cord looks more like a ribbon. It is knitted almost the same as the previous cord, but there are still minor differences in the knitting pattern.

We cast on three air loops, grab the thread with a hook and pull it through the second loop. Insert the hook into the first loop and pull another loop onto it. Crochet all three loops.

Rotate the product 180 degrees. By introducing the hook from above, we can knit the last loop in two half-loops. Take the hook and put on the second loop.

We hook two half-loops from the side of the lace, grab the thread and throw the third loop onto the hook. We knit three loops again and don’t forget to take the thread.

Rotate 180 degrees. We hook a couple of half loops on top and pull another loop onto the hook. We knit three loops.

We knit until you get the desired result.

Video on the topic of the article

We hope that our master class was useful for you; if you do not understand something, we recommend that you watch the following videos.

Insects can be very cute, cutely clumsy and always very good-natured. And even furry caterpillars, which are most often feared and despised, sometimes slay on the spot with their bottomlessly expressive eyes and kind smile! And also a wonderful bow on the head! These caterpillars collect flowers, make delicious jam from their delicate petals, and make the sweetest syrup from the fragrant nectar collected in baskets. And they live in flower beds and rose gardens. Don't believe me? Tie this kindest caterpillar, bringing love, and see for yourself that this cute creature will bring you happiness, good mood and a lot of smiles!!!

Happy knitting!

"Caterpillar, dear,
You need to go on a diet -
You are too noticeable
It's not safe.

So big and juicy
It can’t be, that’s for sure.
After all, every sparrow of you,
He wants to eat it quickly!”

Summer invasion of my knitted garden - knitted caterpillar :)
She is not only a positive colorful worm who will help you reinforce basic colors and counting to 7!

This little girl has a secret! All the balls that it consists of can be removed, because they are on buttons. An interesting puzzle for children's fingers! Unfasten, and then attach, hitting the button in the desired hole. After one year, children can do this for a very long time.
And on top of that, the multi-colored balls are of different sizes, and you also need to compare them and arrange them in order from largest to smallest, in this case the caterpillar will crawl like a real one :) This is also a task for the eyes and the mind.

I suggest you knit this caterpillar

Knitting materials:
