How to make a snowman craft from fleece and padding polyester - a souvenir for the New Year. DIY snowman for the New Year How to make a snowman from a T-shirt

Good afternoon everyone, today we will make snowmen from different materials. I will show you how to make a beautiful snowman out of paper, how to make a snowman from scrap materials that are in every home. You will find on this page several master classes, which will show you interesting ways to make a snowman with your own hands. Many of the ideas can be done together with children - for the next exhibition at school on a winter theme, or for a children's New Year's crafts competition at your work.

Let's start our series of crafts from large snowmen. I suggest you three master classes, during which you will get BIG SNOWMAN.

Master class No. 1

SNOWMAN from garbage bags.

In the photo below we see a beautiful craft - a large snowman in a smart hat. This is a fairly simple job that you can easily do yourself. Suitable for this craft white trash bags, or regular bags from the store around the corner (then we use those parts of the package where there is no color picture).

The basis of the snowman is a cardboard cone. We roll a sheet of cardboard into a bag (as for seeds) and fix the edge with tape or a stapler). We trim the uneven edges of the bag with scissors so that it can stand evenly and straight on the table.
Cut white garbage bags into squares arbitrary size. The larger the squares, the deeper the fluffiness the snowman will have, and the more material will be needed. You can cut squares (3 x 3, or 4 x 4, or 5 x 5, or 6 x 6).

Prepare the glue by heating a hot-melt gun with a glue stick. We wrap a square of film around the tip of a pencil - this is how we get a bunch with a sharp center, it is convenient to apply a drop of glue on it and glue it to the base of the cone.

And we need to cover the entire cone with such bunches - the pasting comes from the lower circular rows and so, tier by tier, we move upward in a circle

Now we make a hat for the snowman. You can make a pattern for the bottom and sides and brim of a hat from cardboard and assemble all these parts. Could it be easier?- Cover a jar of olives with pieces of cardboard.

It can be made even easier: take a jar of yogurt, glue wide hat brims made of cardboard to its edges and paint everything with black gouache (mix it with liquid soap so that it applies well to the plastic, and then spray it several times with hairspray to fix the color).

Cut out eyes and buttons from black cardboard and attach it to the snowman - it’s best to glue buttons not to the fluffy coating, but to the very base - to the cone. To do this, we attach a toothpick to each element with hot glue (as in the photo above) and glue such a button on a long stem to the cone, breaking through the fluffiness to the cardboard.

Master class No. 2

HOW TO MAKE A SNOWMAN

from modular origami.

At school we are all taught to fold paper modules and then assemble them into pot-bellied vases. And since we already know how to do this, then it is entirely within our power to collect BELLY SNOWmen. Everything is very simple here, the children will help you fold the modules - you sat down at the table in front of the TV in the evening and cut several sheets of office paper into rectangles and layered them into modules. And then the next evening, a snowman was assembled from these paper parts - like from a Lego set. A large voluminous craft is obtained.

If you are a beginner master of modular origami, then first make a small snowman, as in the photo above.

And if you have free time and long-term inspiration, then take on a larger project.

Even the cheerful snowman Olaf from the cartoon can be made using the modular origami technique. How to work with modular origami ( how to fold the module itself, and how to connect them to each other, I explained in the article

Master class No. 3

How to make a snowman

PAPIER MACHE

on the air balloon.

Below we see a beautiful large snowman. It is made from two balloons.

The idea is simple and clear - coat pieces of newspaper with glue. From my own experience, I’ll tell you that you can’t do this quickly with a brush (throw away the brush) - just pour glue into a saucer, scoop glue from the saucer with your fingers into your palm with the same hand, take a piece of paper and directly with your palm, in a split second, cover a piece of newspaper with glue and immediately onto the ball... grab it We place a new piece with a glue hand and onto the ball, and so on...

When the entire ball is covered with 3-4 layers of newspaper, leave it to dry for a day or overnight.

Using a knife, we cut off the sharp part of the ball, where the tail is - take out the rubber ball, it won’t be needed. And cover the hole with masking tape or other tape.

This cut will be the BOTTOM of the snowman. And on top of the large ball we attach a smaller ball - also previously covered with newspaper. secure with tape or masking tape.

We cover the adhesive areas with patches from the same newspaper. And immediately from this newspaper we roll up a tight ball of the nose, and also wrap it with newspaper wet in glue - so that it becomes denser. And with several layers of newspaper patches we attach the nose to the front of the snowman.

Snowman hands We also make it from newspaper flagella, or from wire. We make hands in the shape of twigs.

In my opinion, it is better to take the wire as a basis and secure it thoroughly. Punch a hole through the left and right sides of the snowman so that the end of the wire comes out from the left side and from the right side. Wrap newspaper patches around the wire and form twig fingers. Dry, cover with brown gouache, sprinkle with hairspray.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE WHITE PAINT. You can cover the snowman with a layer of white paper napkins (or white toilet paper) - 2-3 layers will hide the newspaper font and the snowman will turn white.
And also You can make the final layer of toilet paper in the form of strips with fringe. You will get the effect as in the photo below.

How to make a snowman

FROM NEWSPAPER LUMPS.

You can do without balloons in our craft. We just roll sheets of newspaper into comas. And then we glue these lumps with white sheets of office paper using PVA glue. For such work, you can buy glue not in tubes, but in a bucket, universal or construction PVA (this will be cheaper in terms of money).

And before wrapping them in white paper, it is better to fix the lumps of newspaper so that they do not unfold. The cling film used to wrap suitcases at airports helps with this.

Master class No. 4

How to make a snowman

FROM BOTTLES OF YOGURT.

Yogurt bottles often have convex, thick shapes and smooth curves - this is a suitable shape for a snowman. And milk bottles are made of white plastic - this is a suitable color for a snowman.

In the photo below we see a snowman made from a milk bottle. The cap is made from a BALLOON, the edge of the balloon is cut off and placed on the neck of the bottle.

But below, a round head made of a foam ball is attached to a white bottle. The snowman's cheeks and smile are drawn on the ball, and the nose and eyes are glued on. The hat and scarf are made from a sock or a piece of woolen fabric.

But even IF YOU DON'T HAVE a foam ball, you can construct a snowman's head FROM A WALL OF NEWSPAPER, wrap it in cling film so that the newspaper holds the shape of a lump. Then secure the round lump on the top of the bottle with tape. And then THIS TEMPLATE of the future snowman should be covered with pieces of newspaper smeared in PVA glue (as we did in the second master class) and allowed to dry.

After this, paint the dry silhouette of the snowman white (gouache or spray paint) and decorate it with clothes.

Also, two short glasses of your yogurt or soft cheese can turn into a funny snowman. And as we see in the master class below, it’s easy and quick to do it yourself at home, together with your children.

Master class No. 5

SNOWMAN FROM THREAD

with your own hands.

In the photo below we see a cute snowman made of yarn balls. Perhaps you have already seen such crafts before at children's exhibitions, as the work of other parents. And they admired the openwork beauty of such transparent, delicate snowmen.

On our website I have already made a separate article with detailed master classes. There you will find all the nuances and tips. And here I will just give an infographic with step-by-step photos showing the whole process.

How to make a snowman

from FOAM BALLS.

And now one of the fastest ways to make a snowman with your own hands. We come to the “Everything for Creativity” store and buy foam balls there (preferably two sizes - one larger, the other smaller in diameter). You can buy 2 balls, or three... or more. Look at the money - they are not expensive, the price does not bite.

Next, your task is simple - we cut the balls (cut off the tops) and collect them together with these flat cuts. It is better to attach it not only with glue, but also to make a FASTENING ROD inside from an ordinary toothpick. After fastening the parts, it is better to tint the balls with paint. gypsum putty or varnish or paper napkins and PVA glue. Choose a blue coating for your craft - in any case it will turn out beautiful and gentle.

Some people coat the snowman with glue and sprinkle it with salt - grains of salt imitate snow (as in the photo below). Someone coats it with glue and covers it with thin pieces of cotton wool - the snowman turns out to be felt, like a felt boot.

You can do it very beautifully - pick out scales from a pine cone and paste them over the lower part of the snowman - dress him in a pine cone caftan. And make a hat from birch bark from a birch tree - you will get a snowman with your own hands, as in the photo below.

You can assemble the snowman parts NOT VERTICALLY, but at different angles. We cut off the tops of the balls at an angle towards each other and stick the toothpicks in at an angle too - and this makes the figures curved. Like the snowmen bent over and bent - like in the photo with the craft below, DANCING SNOWMANS.

The snowman can be placed ON A PEDESTAL - on a skewer, or on two long legs (as in the photo below). To thicken the legs, you can cover them with a napkin using PVA glue, achieving the desired thickness and proportions.

Master class BELLY SNOWMAN made from halves of balls.

To make such a snowman with our own hands, we will need two balls, whose diameter differs slightly from each other. One is slightly smaller than the other.
From each ball we cut off A LITTLE LESS THAN HALF. And we put these trimmed balls next to each other at the cut points.

We cut out the details of the snowman's uniform from mold or felt. And we attach these parts to the body of the snowman using glue from a hot gun.

We paint the snowman's scarf and hat with patterns (with a felt-tip pen or paints).

You can make many New Year's crafts from foam balls. A whole composition on a snowy landscape with a Christmas tree made of balls and a team of snowmen. Everything is done according to the same principle - we cut off the tops of the balls and connect them at the place of the cut.

How to build a snowman

from CUPS.

If you spare no glue and buy 2-3 pipes with cups of 100 pieces each, you can make a beautiful snowman. You can, of course, save these cups by taking them out of the trash can next to the office cooler (if the supplies order white cups, then they will be suitable for a snowman).

This snowman craft is very simple. All you do is place the cups in a circle - like in a round dance, with the bottoms towards the center. We fix everything with a drop of hot glue (you can use squares of double-sided tape, it also holds well). And then we place more cups on top of this round dance... and again - until the dome grows (this will be half a sphere). Next, we turn the sphere upside down with the first round dance and continue to build up the second half of this sphere on it.

Using the same principle, snowmen are made from drink bottles. The cut quarters of the bottom of the bottle are placed in a circle in the same way - with the cut towards the center and the bottoms out.

Snowman woven from newspaper.

How to make a newspaper bundle.

If you unfold a large sheet of newspaper and begin to twist it diagonally into a tube, you will get a strong and flexible bundle of newspaper. From such thin newspaper tubes you can weave a snowman, just like people weave baskets.

Let's see how easy and simple it really is to do. Here is a newspaper, here we roll it up into a PENCIL to make it convenient, into a narrow tube.

To prevent the tubes from unfolding, you can secure them with a drop of glue. And make a lot of threaded tubes in advance, put them in bundles, tying them with an elastic band or string.

The beginning of weaving is 8 tubes. We put them CROSS ON CROSS, four of them. And we intertwine these four by four tubes in pairs - we slide them under each other, as can be clearly seen in the photo below.

Immediately after these four tubes, we Twist the ends of this bent tube ONCE WITH EACH OTHER (we just swapped them) and threw them through the next portion of four tubes. This can be seen in the second photo below.

We repeat this WITH ALL the four pipes of our cross.

And we notice that the ends of our first tube have become SHORT. This means it’s time to lengthen them - to do this, we take out TWO more tubes from our supplies and coat their ends with a little glue and insert them inside the short tails of our weaving. This is shown in the photo below.

After this lengthening, we move our cross beams apart in different directions. So that the tubes in the crossspread out like rays of the sun.

And now our two elongated ends will go along all the rays, each time intertwining around each of them. That is, the ends of the tube bend around the ray, crossing each other, changing places.

To ensure that our weaving is round and uniform, and does not tighten somewhere stronger, somewhere weaker, it is better to place a jar or vase in the center of the weaving and tighten our weaving around this shape. This way we will repeat the uniform roundness of the can, and we will get an even braid.

You can weave two halves of a SPHERE, then gather them together into a ball (as in the photo below), or continue weaving upward, narrowing the sphere to the top of the ball.

After the newspaper snowman is ready, it is painted with spray paint from a can. And they decorate with eyes, nose, buttons, a hat and a scarf.

Using the same principle, you can weave snowmen from willow twigs. Such snowmen can decorate your summer cottage with your own hands; they will not be afraid of rain, like a newspaper, and will last for many years.

How to make a snowman

FROM WHAT'S AT YOUR HAND.

the fastest ways.

You can simply buy a pack of white toilet paper. Place the rolls on top of each other. Cut out eyes, nose, mouth, twig hands from cardboard. Use an old woolen sock to make a hat. And here he is your snowman - standing there smiling. Cute, cute and big. It's nice to look at and not ashamed to show.

Here's another great way. Pour white coarse salt into a white sock. We tie the sock with twine at the top and also make bandages twice in the middle of the sock. We get a beautiful snowman. We give him a figure and face like the cartoon snowman Olaf.

Or let's do something even more interesting. Knead a cool, tight salty dough. Three glasses of fine salt, three glasses of flour, a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil so that it doesn’t stick to your hands - and knead the dough with water. Pour water over the eye until the dough becomes like plasticine. And then add more flour so that it is definitely tight and firm. With tight dough, the snowman holds its shape better.

And if you take not wheat, but RYE FLOUR, then the snowman will definitely not settle, it will keep its shape firmly. Rye flour will give the craft a brown color. But this is not a problem - when the craft dries to a solid state, it will be easy to paint it with gouache or any facade paint.

Also, lumps of dough can be fixed on a pedestal made from an inverted flower pot. You will get a new craft. You can make a whole happy family of snowmen using dough and pots.

You can make a very bright colorful craft in the form of a snowman FROM BALLOONS. Just buy regular round white balls and multi-colored sausage balls for twisted crafts.

In order for the snowman to melt firmly on the floor, you need to add water to the lower balls - they will be the center of gravity for the snowman.

You can also very quickly make a snowman out of a pillow. The easiest and fastest way is to just sew on buttons and roll the nose out of a piece of bright orange washcloth. Tie the neck of the pillow with any homemade scarf, put on a hat (even a simple hat, not necessarily a New Year's cap).

Snowmen from FELT,

How to make a snowman out of wool.

Nowadays many people are interested in felting wool. Here in the photo below we see what a beautiful snowman can be made from a piece of ordinary wool for felting.

The fastest felting method is the wet method. In a bowl of warm soapy water, a ball of fur sculpts like a lump of plasticine. We simply roll the wet wool in our hands and roll it into a tight ball. Three of these balls give us body parts for the snowman.

You can felt not necessarily spherical shapes. And not necessarily in a wet way. You can simply dry twist a piece of wool to the desired shape and comb it with a felting needle. It’s very simple: you poke a needle into this woolen bundle, and from this it compacts itself and knits into the dense shape that you gave it when you folded it.

You can separately felt the legs and arms of the snowman and attach them to the body by needle combing.

Twig handles are made using the wet method, when the wire is wrapped in a tuft of wool and rolled on the table with wet, soapy hands.

Additional clothing items for a snowman can be made from felt or fleece.

You can make a real broom for a felt snowman from the fibers of a homemade broom.

You can make a whole dried composition from wool with snowmen, Christmas trees, gifts, penguins and other characters that fit the New Year's theme.

Here are some simple ideas on how to make a snowman from a variety of materials. But we haven't said everything yet...
This article will have a continuation... because while I was writing all these letters, my hands were making and photographing more new crafts with snowmen. Very soon there will be a link to an article with new works - we will make snowmen out of paper.

Snowman made of burlap and jute rope.

To make such snowmen you need:

Foam balls (can also be made from papier-mâché or crumpled up from paper and tied with thread);
- burlap/linen fabric;
- jute rope/twine;
- buttons;
- paper towel/toilet paper reels;
- plaid fabric (for example, an old shirt);
- felt/black felt;
- pencil, scissors, stationery knife, kebab stick, glue.

Snowman made of burlap and jute rope

Take one foam ball and trim the edge to give it proper stability (photo 2). Cut the burlap into triangles, as in photo 3. The height of the triangle should be equal to the volume of the ball. Cover the balls with burlap (photo 4-5).

Wrap a foam ball for the snowman's head with twine or jute rope; use a hot glue gun with hot glue (photo 6-7). Connect the balls using a kebab stick (photo 8).

Make a cylinder from a paper towel/toilet paper reel and cover it with black felt/fleece (photo 9-10). Cut a piece of pencil from which to make a carrot nose for the snowman (photo 12).

Glue on the button eyes. Make a scarf from an old shirt by cutting a piece into a rectangle. Decorate the finished snowmen at your discretion.

DIY snowman.

White and green terry cloth;
- fleece of any shade;
- padding polyester/holofiber (for filling);
- black beads for eyes;
- glue, threads.

DIY snowman step by step:

The snowman will consist of three fabric balls of different diameters. Each ball, in turn, will consist of six “wedges”. Fold white terry cloth in half and mark “wedges” (you need to make three elements of each size). Don't forget to leave space between the pieces. The diagonal dimensions of the wedges should be 10.5 cm, 8.5 cm and 7.5 cm (photo 1).

Machine stitch each piece on one side (photo 2). Cut out all the parts, making small indentations along the edges. As a result, you should get nine double elements (photo 3).

Then place all three elements of each ball together (photo 4) and secure with pins (photo 5). Sew (photo 6). Turn out and stuff. Get beautiful, round balls (photo 7).

Sew them together in the given decreasing order (photo 8). And admire the already formed snowman (photo 9)

Next, the snowman needs to make a carrot nose with his own hands. Make it from a piece of orange fabric, in this case knitwear was used. Fold the fabric in half and mark a triangle (photo 10). Sew, turn inside out and stuff with filling (photo 11). Sew the snowman to the head using a hidden seam (photo 12-13)

Sew on the eyes (photo 14). Give the snowman legs and arms. Fold the white terry cloth in half again and outline the arms and legs. The diagonal length of the handle should be 11 cm (photo 15). Sew, leaving an opening for filling (photo 16).

Turn out and stuff (photo 17). Sew up the hole (photo 18). Secure the handles with thread (photo 19). Do the same manipulations with the legs, sewing them with a hidden stitch (photo 20).

Next you need to dress the almost finished snowman with your own hands (photo 21). Start with the hat and cut out a rectangle of fleece (here it measures 21x15 cm) (photo 22). Fold in half (photo 23). Stitch. Get something like this. On one side, cut off the edge using zig-zag scissors (for decoration) - this will be the “fold” of the hat (photo 24).

On the other side, cut the fringe into strips (photo 25). Place the hat on the snowman's head and gather the resulting fringe into something like a pompom (photo 26). Next, glue the edges of the cap (photo 27-28).

Then make a scarf. To do this, fold a piece of fleece in half and mark a stripe for the future scarf. Strip size 25x6 cm (photo 29). Cut the ends of the scarf into fringes using the same scissors (photo 30).

Tie a scarf on the snowman. All that remains is to put on his mittens (photo 31). Also fold the fleece in half, mark the mittens, stitch, turn inside out (photo 32).

Decorate the edges with the same theme using zig-zag scissors (photo 33). You can also hand something to the snowman so that he doesn’t get bored. In this case, it was decided to give him a Christmas tree (photo 34). Mark the triangle and the bottom of the future tree on green terry cloth. The size of the triangle for the Christmas tree is 17x16 cm (photo 35).

Fold the triangle in half (photo 36). Sew, leaving an opening for filling (photo 37). Pin the bottom of the Christmas tree with pins for security (photo 38). Sew (photo 39). Turn inside out, stuff and sew up the hole (photo 40).

Sew the resulting tree to the finished snowman. Decorate the Christmas tree with multi-colored ones (glue it with glue) to make it look like New Year's.

Your DIY snowman is ready!

Snowman made of pompoms.

To create a pompom snowman you will need:

White yarn;
- needle, scissors, thick cardboard,
- additional materials for creating eyes, nose and mouth, as well as his clothes (for example, a scarf and hat).

Pom pom snowman step by step:

First of all, you will need to create the pompoms themselves, for which you can wrap yarn around your fingers, as shown in MK, and also use cardboard rings.

The snowman can be made from either two or three pompoms. Pompoms should be of different diameters and have a spherical shape. You can create handles for a snowman using the smallest cardboard rings. The thread must be wound very tightly.

After creating the pompoms, they need to be lined up in decreasing order of size and sewn together in the center; you can also connect them with a kebab skewer.

Snowmen can be created with or without handles; you can also use twigs and anything else that comes to your mind instead of handles.

Make a scarf and hat for your snowman from pompoms. You can sew it from leftover fabric or knit it. It is advisable to make them from bright materials.

All that remains is to design the snowman’s face. For the eyes, use beads, buttons or threads; for the nose, use orange fabric, which must first be rolled into a thin tube. You can also make a nose from tangerine peel. The snowman's mouth can be woven from red or dark thread in a pigtail. Sew or glue the finished parts.

Creating such a soft toy will bring a lot of pleasure to both children and adults.

You can also create other New Year's crafts from pompoms, such as Christmas trees and figurines of other New Year's characters.

Snowmen on the Christmas tree.

To make snowmen you will need:

Packaging polypropylene pallet (from the store);
- multi-colored threads, hook;
- thin needle;
- glue (you can use a glue stick);
- paper, pen/pencil, scissors;
- tangerine peel.

The process of creating snowmen for the Christmas tree:

Take a tangerine peel and cut out noses for snowmen and dry them.

Draw a template of a snowman and mittens on paper. Cut off the bottom of the polypropylene tray and trace the templates on it (tip: you can use a non-writing pen, which can only be used to draw an outline, then there will be no traces of ink left along the edges). Place the parts not end to end, then it will be convenient to cut them out.

Cut out the pieces. for 1 snowman you will need 2 pcs. torso and 4 pcs. mittens. The rest can be used to create the next snowmen. Knit a hat and scarf. You can also sew it from fabric (optional).

Draw a face for the snowman, glue on the nose and embroider snowflakes. Cut some dark thread to create handles.

Take the second piece and attach the handles to it, place the piece with the face on top, secure them and sew the edges (tip: don’t pull the thread too hard, otherwise it will cut through the polypropylene!).

Embroider a snowflake on one part of the mitten, place a thread handle on it, cover it with the second part on top and sew along the edge, repeat with the next mitten.

Dress up the finished snowman as a snowman with a hat and scarf (secure the hat with thread).

The snowman is ready to decorate your Christmas tree!

DIY sock snowman.

To create snowmen from socks you will need:

White children's knee socks (tights)
- socks with colored patterns
- an orange pencil rod for a carrot nose
- needle and thread
- on Moment-Crystal glue
- decor for snowmen: laces, ribbons, ties, buttons

Sock snowmen step by step:

Cut off the excess parts from the tights that we don’t need - the foot and the top.

Turn the snowman's future body inside out. Tie the top part with a string. Tie tightly enough so that the millet from the snowmen cannot fall out.

Add millet and tie the top.

Dress up a snowman: make a hat from the foot of a sock, and from the top part you will get an excellent blouse that can be decorated with buttons, ribbons, and bows.

The eyes and nose can be made from any materials. You can use buttons for the eyes, and a rod from an old orange pencil for the carrot nose. It will need to be sharpened, and for strength, glue it with Moment-Crystal glue.

Sock snowmen are ready!

Snowman. Dry felting technique.

To make a snowman you will need:

White carded wool (about 50 g);
- some orange and red wool;
- padding polyester for the base;
- two beads for eyes;
- large needle and coarse thread;
- sponge, glue, nail file;
- 4 fine needles and 1 coarse;
- dry pastel + brush.

Snowman using dry felting technique step by step:

Choose a picture of a snowman. You don't have to make an exact copy, but the ratio of the snowman's body parts is important.

Making the body:

The snowman's body will consist of three balls of different sizes and handles. Take the padding polyester, roll it tightly and sew it with thick thread. This will be the base for the largest ball. Fluff a small piece of wool and apply it to a ball of padding polyester and press it with a thin needle (photo 2). Cover the surface of the entire ball with a layer of wool. Try to avoid any bald spots and ensure that the fur lies flat. Next, work with a coarse needle (photo 3-4).

Start making the next ball. For this you will need a small piece of wool, which must first be fluffed so that “creases” do not occur. Form into a ball, working carefully with a coarse needle. Start small and then add pieces of wool, while constantly turning the ball in your hands. Make it the size and density you need. It is important not to overload the workpiece (photo 5-6).

When starting to work, try to get the needle between your fingers. Make two balls of different sizes and try them on. Attach the center ball to the bottom ball. Cover the joint with a small piece of wool (Pic 7-10).

Start making arms for the snowman. Take two identical pieces and fluff them. Felt the wool, turning it in your hands, giving it the desired shape. You need to make two identical elements. You need to alternately form one hand and then the other. Add wool to achieve uniform size and density (photo 11-12).

Then fluff out the upper arm and secure it to the body (photo 13-15). “Attach” the arms to the body using wool. Compare the sizes of the handles (photos 16-18).

If the snowman turns out to be thin, add fur to the sides and belly (photo 19-20).

Making the head:

Move on to the next part - make a ball for the head. Seal it and measure it. Attach the head to the body, lining the joint with wool (photo 21-22). Deepen the eye sockets and glue/sew beads into them (photo 23).

Work on his facial expressions - make his cheeks and chin. Make an oval-shaped blank from a small piece of wool. We attach it to the head. Next, make two identical balls for the cheeks. Felt them, not forgetting about symmetry. Draw the mouth (photo 24-26).

To create eyelids, use a sponge. And to speed up the process, you can tie three thin needles using a money elastic band. Start by taking two pieces of wool of the same size. Fluff them and place one of them on the sponge (photo 27).

Gently seal the top first on one side and then on the other. Form a smooth edge. Press the wool again on both sides. Make two identical elements (photo 28-30). Do the same for the upper eyelids. Start attaching from the lower eyelid (photo 31-32).

The snowman's facial expression will depend on the shape of the eye shape (photo 33-34). The eyes are ready - make a mouth. Deepen the mouth line using a coarse needle. And mark a place for the spout (photo 35-37).

To make mittens, use red wool. Begin to carefully create the desired shape by turning the wool in your hands. Make a couple of mittens at once and compare their sizes periodically. Make a finger from a small piece and attach it to the main part. Add wool if necessary. Leave the area where the mitten is attached to your hand fluffy (photo 39-44).

Make a nose for the snowman - form a cone from a small piece of orange wool and secure it in the intended place (photo 45-47).

Sanding the snowman:

After forming a dense body, proceed to grinding. Take a piece of wool the size of a penny. Fluff it well and gently roll it to the body using a thin needle. Lay the fur like fish scales, covering the entire surface of the toy (photo 48-50).

One handle can be lowered to make the snowman look natural. To do this, press on top of your hand and work well on the line connecting the arm and torso (photo 51-52). Don't forget to sand the mittens (photo 53). Attach the “buttons” by first felting three small balls (photo 54).

Snowman tinting:

For tinting, you can use dry pastel in earth tones. Grind the pastel on a file, and then tint the surface with a brush. Then dress the finished snowman in a scarf and hat.

DIY snowman made of threads.

To create a snowman from threads we will need:

A skein of white knitting thread (you can also use other colors)
- 4 balloons or fingertips
- PVA glue
- starch
- colored paper

The process of creating a snowman from threads:

First of all, you need to prepare an adhesive mixture, for which take half a liter of water, 3 tbsp. l. starch. Cook for a while and cool the resulting paste.

Inflate 4 balloons in sizes corresponding to the parts of the snowman's body - head, torso and two arms.

Dip the threads into the paste, and then begin to evenly wrap each of the balls with them. During the winding process, it is advisable to keep the remaining threads in the adhesive mass all the time.

Leave the balls until the threads are completely dry. After which you need to carefully remove the ball, for which you first deflate it.

Next you need to connect all the parts of the snowman together. To connect the body to the head, make a recess in it, for which you spray a small space with a spray bottle at the site of the future connection and carefully create a recess in a moistened place.

You can glue the body to the head using a paper circle coated with PVA glue on both sides. Leave until the glue dries completely.

By analogy, glue your hands. Decorate the snowman by making eyes, a carrot nose, and a smile from colored paper. The nose can also be made from threads, for which you twist a sheet of paper into a cone and wrap orange threads dipped in paste around it (the paste also needs to be tinted with orange acrylic paint).

As a headdress, you can make something like a bucket from an ice cream cup covered with brown paper.

Your DIY thread snowman is ready! You can create snowmen of any shape at your discretion, both with and without crustaceans.

Happy New Year!

Knitted snowman.

To create a knitted snowman you will need:

Threads of red, green, white gold;
- hook of the required size;
- a tennis ball and a bead, slightly smaller in diameter;
- needle and thread to match (thin);
- golden waxed thread;
- PVA glue + brush.
- two black bugles and two black beads;
- paper.

Crocheted snowman step by step:

To create the body of a snowman we will need 2 beads of different sizes. You can also use a tennis ball as a base for the body. The blanks for the head and body should be white so that the original color does not show through the knitting. To do this, use white beads or paint them with acrylic paint of the appropriate color (Fig. 1).

To tie round shapes, use the following algorithm.

2. You need to finish adding loops when the knitted piece and the ball are not equal in diameter (put the knitting on your ball and take the measurement, looking from above).

Figure 2 shows that you will need to knit at least one more row so that the knitted piece and the tennis ball are equal in diameter.

Figure 3 clearly shows that the diameters of the workpiece and the tennis ball are the same.

3. The middle of any round shape must be knitted without adding loops in the number of rows determined by eye. Thus, you will need to knit about 1/4 of the surface of the ball.

4. You need to decrease the loops according to the adding pattern, only in the reverse order. To complete the knitting, decrease the stitches until the ball is completely hidden under the knitting.

Figure 5-6 shows ready-made, tied blanks of the head and body of the future snowman.

To connect them firmly, you will need to thread the end of the thread from the body blank through the penultimate rows of the head blank (Figure 7). Pull tightly and tie in a knot (Figure 8).

Knit a bright-colored scarf for a snowman by casting on 10 loops with thin knitting needles and knitting the fabric with a regular elastic band about 20 cm long (Figure 9-10).

Make a nose from strands of glue. Roll a piece of paper into a bag, secure the end with PVA glue (Fig. 11). Pull the orange thread through the resulting workpiece (Fig. 12).

Now knit the hat using the body knitting algorithm. Those. knit first by adding loops, then several rows without adding (Fig. 15).

Take beads and glass beads that will serve as eyes for the snowman. Sew them on. Tie a ready-made scarf (Fig. 16).

Attach the nose by threading a thread through the base of the nose (Figure 17). Using a needle, first fasten one end of the thread, pull the nose, and then fasten the other end of the thread (Figure 18).

Hang the snowman by threading gold waxed thread through the tip of the cap.

If you know how to make a snowman, then you can make it with your children, and they will take the creative work to the garden or school. This attribute of winter and New Year is created from various materials, from unnecessary things.

To make such a funny character, you can use socks that are out of fashion or that have become too small for your child. To work you will need:
  • light sock;
  • colored sock;
  • padding polyester;
  • round rubber bands;
  • white yarn;
  • buttons;
  • needle with thread.
The size of the socks depends on how big you want your snowman toy to be. You can use small or large. Take a sock and fill the bottom 3cm with rice.

White grains are not visible through the fabric. This filler will help the structure to be stable. If you don’t have rice and the sock is thick, you can pour another light grain into it, for example, millet.

Place padding polyester on top of the cereal, thus filling the sock to the heel. Make small balls on the right and left by pulling the sock with pieces of padding polyester with an elastic band - you get blanks for handles. Just above this place, in the middle, also tie the sock with an elastic band. This is a snowman's throat made from a sock. Now we need to make his head. To do this, fill part of the sock with padding polyester above the neck, round it, and tie it on top with an elastic band.

Shows how to make a snowman with your own hands photo above. Looking at it, you will understand that at this stage you need to replace the elastic bands with white yarn.

Next, we make a cap for a funny character. A colorful sock will go with it. Put it on the head of this assistant of Santa Claus and tie it at the back of the head with a thin elastic band. The length of the hat can be any, cut off the excess, tie yarn instead of an elastic band. Decorate the tip of the cap as you wish by cutting its edge, or leave it as is.

Now let's start creating the face. The blue buttons will serve as the eyes, and the brown buttons will serve as the nose. Sew three black buttons onto his belly, use scraps of a sock to make a scarf with fluffy ends and hang it around the snowman’s neck.

The next craft is no less interesting - the idea will tell you how to find a use for used plastic cups. If you have a lot of them, then you will get a big snowman. It can be placed in the office, on the street, next to any institution. It will decorate the building and attract the attention of passersby.

DIY snowman made from plastic cups

For this craft, in addition to empty containers, you will need a stapler. For decoration you will need:
  • carrot;
  • colored paper;
  • cardboard;
  • textile.
Start by making the top ball. To do this, fasten the cups together with a stapler, placing them evenly to each other, with the bottom in one direction. Soon they themselves will take the desired circle shape. In the same way you will make the second half of the snowman. The top ball should be smaller than the bottom one.

Both of these figures are circles; they do not need to be completed to the end; the bottom must remain free so that the snowman made from plastic cups is stable.

Connect his head to his body using a stapler, and tie this place with a scarf made of corrugated paper. From it, or from ordinary colored paper, you will make buttons and eyes of the figure. For the nose, you can put a carrot in a cup, cutting a circle of small diameter in it, as shown in the photo, or make it out of cardboard.

How to make a cylinder headdress can also be seen in the figure. Cut out a rectangle and a circle from cardboard. The length of the larger side of the rectangle should be equal to the diameter of the circle. You will also need a rim for the cylinder, in the figure it is indicated as number 3. Cut out blanks from colored or white cardboard, painting them in the desired color. You can cut the same blanks onto fabric, cut them out and paste them onto cardboard. Now all the parts need to be glued together, as shown in the figure, and you can place the cylinder on the head of the New Year's snowman you created with your own hands.

There are many ideas for such creativity. As a result of the implementation of the following, the craft will turn out to be openwork and airy. Using this technique you can also make a new lampshade.

In addition to the materials listed, you will need:

  • 5 balloons of different sizes, for the body - large, for the head - smaller, for the arms - even smaller;
  • white threads;
  • PVA glue;
  • brush;
  • for eyes 2 black buttons;
  • for the nose a little orange polymer clay;
  • big needle.
The exciting process begins with inflating balloons. You can involve the whole family in this. Now you need to wrap each ball with threads. To prevent the balls from bursting, this is done carefully, without stretching the threads too much.

Now generously coat the windings of the balls with PVA glue. It should cover all sections of the thread well. Hang the balls by the ropes that tie them at the top and let them dry thoroughly. To do this, it is better to leave the preparations overnight, then your morning will start very happily, since now you need to burst all the balls with a needle. After that, remove them through the holes between the threads.

Now place the largest piece on the floor or some kind of base. Attach a slightly smaller ball to this large ball, and on top - a snowman's head made of threads. Glue its handles in the same way and let the pieces dry.

The finishing touches remain. A beautiful nose is made from polymer clay or cardboard. For the latter, it is cut out in the shape of a triangle, then one side is placed on the other and the joint is glued. Sew the button eyes in place, make a headdress as in the previous case, and the thread snowman is ready.

To make a polymer clay nose strong, mold it in the shape of a carrot, and then put it in boiling water for 8-10 minutes. Then the workpiece will become hard and at first glance it will be difficult to distinguish it from a real carrot.

Knitted snowman

You can decorate a sweater, potholder, or decorative pillow with this figurine. The patterns clearly demonstrate how such knitted snowmen are created. This one shows that you will need eight colors of thread.

Color number:
  1. - white;
  2. - yellow;
  3. - violet;
  4. - red;
  5. - blue;
  6. - sea wave;
  7. - blue;
  8. - green.
If you don't have yarn of a certain shade, you can replace it with another. So, the character’s hat, scarf, and legs may be of a different color.

This knitted snowman is made using the stockinette stitch technique. That is, on the front side you will knit with facial loops, and on the reverse side with purl stitches.

To change the color to another, twist the thread of the desired shade with the one you finished knitting the last stitch with. Then the junction of different yarns will be invisible and done neatly.

A knitted snowman is created with knitting needles from the first loop of the bottom row. In the diagram it is the lower right corner. As you can see in the figure, 10 loops are knitted from right to left up to the number 20, and then another 7 loops with blue thread. Next, the snowman's leg begins. Twist the yellow and blue thread, knit 6 knit stitches with yellow. Also knit until the end of the row, but with blue yarn.

Turn the work inside out, knit 39 loops using blue yarn according to the pattern, then 8 with yellow yarn and the remaining 16 with blue yarn. In the same way, focusing on the snowman knitting pattern, create the entire fabric. It consists of 92 rows, and 60 loops are used horizontally. In the diagram, cell 1 is one loop.

When you need to finish knitting a piece of a certain color, cut and tie the end of the thread so that it does not unravel. When alternating colors, your threads should be on the wrong side.

To make the design look good, after completing the work, place a knitted snowman on the front side, damp gauze or cloth on it and iron it with an iron. If your knit item uses a ribbed pattern, you do not need to iron it, otherwise it will stretch.

If your beloved child was asked to make such a New Year's attribute, use available materials for this. Even a small child can make a toy using an empty Rastishka container.

A bottle snowman is easy to make; in addition to this, you will need:
  • green corrugated paper;
  • glue stick;
  • scissors;
  • soldering iron;
  • a piece of red plasticine or cardboard of the same color.
Remove the label from the bottle. Fold a rectangular sheet of paper to form a narrow strip, start wrapping it around the neck of the bottle, not forgetting to shape the neck. This way you will simultaneously close the hole and make a snowman hat with your own hands.

Now use a soldering iron to make a hole in the bottle. If you are creating a craft with your child, take on this part of the work yourself. Meanwhile, let the baby roll a piece of plasticine in the shape of a snowman’s nose between his palms. Attach it to the resulting hole; you can also use a folded piece of colored paper or cardboard for the nose.

Making such a paper snowman is very simple. Even a preschooler can cope with the task. You need to cut out three circles of different sizes from thick white paper. It is advisable to shade the edges of the circles so that they stand out better against each other. This can be done using crushed pencil lead or eye shadow. Also cut out a scarf, pens, a carrot nose, eyes and buttons from colored paper. Glue all the parts of the snowman sequentially onto the blank of your New Year's card. To give the snowman volume, it is better to fasten the circles together using double-sided tape.

With kids 2-3 years old, you can make a “Snowman” applique card from cotton pads.

Snowman painted with snow paint

Volumetric snow paint recipe. If you mix equal volumes of PVA glue and shaving foam, you will get wonderful airy snow paint. She can draw snowflakes, snowmen, polar bears and winter landscapes.

Making a snowman out of cups couldn't be easier. This snowman craft will never melt and will delight your children for years to come. To make a snowman from plastic cups you will need many, many plastic cups and a stapler. One ball takes about a hundred cups.

For one snowman you will need to make two balls: a larger one (for the body) and a smaller one (for the head). Each ball will consist of two hemispheres. To make one hemisphere, you need to lay out cups on the floor in the shape of a circle of the diameter you need. Fasten the cups together. Next, add new rows of cups on top, not forgetting to fasten them with a stapler. As more and more cups are added, they themselves will naturally take the shape of a hemisphere. When one hemisphere is ready, make another one exactly the same. We only advise you to leave the upper parts of the hemispheres unfinished, so that the snowman stands steadily on the floor, and to make it easier to attach the head later. Now all you have to do is connect the two parts of the ball together and fasten them. The body is ready. You need to make the head in exactly the same way.
