Collection of patterns from "braids" and "harnesses" crochet

Many needlewomen rightfully consider knitting to be a calming and enjoyable activity. Patterns of “braids”, “pigtails”, “harnesses”, “braids” and original intricacies can be used to decorate not only clothes and accessories, but also to decorate interior items.
Beautiful embossed “braids”, “pigtails” and “plaits” can be knitted not only with knitting needles, but also with crochet. “Braids” can be knitted to any width and with the desired number of “flagella”, which can be spread at your discretion as many times as you like. You can cross “flagella” of different widths (for example, a “flagella” one column wide with a “flagella” three columns wide), resulting in unusual textures.
In order for the knitting not to be pulled together, when crossing, it is necessary to perform the far column with a large number of yarn overs, and the middle one with a smaller number of yarn overs.
We offer you several options for patterns of “braids”, “braids”, “harnesses” and “braids” for crochet with sample patterns, descriptions and symbols. The diagram clearly demonstrates the design of the pattern and allows you to easily track the order of knitting loops and rows. This is especially important when making complex multi-level patterns. Choose and create with pleasure!

Knitted blouse with crochet braids

The knitted blouse is made with a braid pattern - crocheted braids are obtained by crossing stitches, in this case stitches with 4 crochets are used.

For this model, I used these diagrams
big braid

small

We get the entire “Relief” on the front side

This time I decided to change my braids a little, I wanted to try something new

!!! All braids are knitted according to the same principle, I only change the rapport and the number of yarn overs. Therefore, choose for yourself what you liked best.

I drew the diagrams myself (this turned out to be the most difficult part), if anything is not clear, ask

The raglan line and its calculation are taken from the VKontakte group of Maria Barmina (green dots - transition to a new row)

For the children's model, I chose the Gazzal Baby Wool thread (200m/50g). Hook 2.5

because I don’t have a daughter, I’ll just knit according to my measurements and my son’s little blouse, this is approximately for height 104-110

! We start knitting from the TOP, in ROTATING rows!

To do this, take the head circumference + cm2-4, the number of loops in these cm. We divide by 3 this is the front and back, and another part by 2 is the sleeves. and plus raglan loops.

I knitted the sample with a DC, but since we have a DC in the back, and the front has braids that pull it together a little, then we will transfer a few stitches (6-10) from the back to the front and sleeves.

I think it is not appropriate to write the number of my VPs, each has its own thread and knitting density. I'll just give you an EXAMPLE
For example, we got 140 loops
140-20(raglan loops)
120/3=40 (front and back)
40/2=20 (sleeves)
subtract 9 loops from the back and distribute 3 each to the sleeves and front

!!! Girls, I see there are questions regarding the calculation!!! I will say based on personal experience. First, I took the same number of loops on the front and back, during the knitting process I realized that the back with this calculation is larger than the front (the difference is visible in the photo below), which is why it was decided to subtract from the back. And don’t be alarmed that the front immediately comes out much wider; by the end of the yoke everything will even out.

After we have decided on the number of loops, we knit a row of dcs, and from the second row we distribute the loops into braids. They won’t all fit in at once, we’ll add them in the process.

I started a little earlier to see how the pattern would fall, so I already had the yoke ready!

The sleeve looks like this

In this model, I will knit the sprout at the top of the yoke 1 row, so having knitted the desired height of the yoke (table above), we connect the front to the back.
!!! GIRLS, if you are knitting for yourself, then the sprout can be made after the yoke, a little larger (several rows), looking at the photo below you can see that the front is already shorter!
If you don’t have enough width, you can add a VI.
And we knit further to the required length in TURNING rows (for lifting I use 2 ch, this makes the seam more beautiful)

Back view

As you can see in the photo, due to the braids in front, we get a little shortened, so we don’t knit any additional rows on the back!

When there are 3-5 cm left to the desired length, we begin the elastic band. Change the hook to a slightly smaller one
We knit one row of dc, then 2 convex/2 concave dc.

We finish next to the sc.

The photo shows that the wave from the braids has gone away due to the elastic!

We knit a sprout.
To do this, count 5 loops from the raglan line on the back and attach the thread.
