We pack our suitcase. Don’t take excess! How to pack a suitcase correctly? How to pack a suitcase for a seaside vacation

There are two typical approaches to packing a suitcase for a vacation - male and female. In the first case, this is a small bag with money, a wad of money and replacement shorts, in case something happens to the main ones.

The women's version is a small pile of cubic-shaped suitcases, behind which the prudent fashionista herself is not visible. As you can easily guess, both options are fundamentally wrong.

So for a vacation? We will describe three questions you need to ask yourself to answer this question and top tips that will help you prepare the perfect vacation.

On vacation - by the sea

The first thing you should pay attention to is the climate of the place where you will be vacationing. Here are the main rules:

  • If packing your suitcase for the sea, you should definitely stock up on a hat, sun protection and sunglasses. These items can be significantly more expensive upon arrival. As for clothing, you should give preference to light outfits made of airy fabric, but you should grab one or maximum two warm clothes in case of gatherings on the beach in the morning.
  • Setting off into a wooded area insect protection and hats should be considered, especially during tick season. Even in very warm weather, it is worth taking long-sleeved items made of fairly thick fabric for two reasons: coolness in the mornings and evenings and the same harmful insects.
  • Travel to the mountains will require a large number of warm clothes, preferably protecting from weather conditions and a full set of creams - both from the sun and from insects.
  • Trips to get to know the country or terrain, for example, a ten-day tour of Mexico or a week-long trip to Europe, which involves a large amount of movement, will require a minimum set of things. This includes two sets of casual clothing - one warmer, the other designed for the heat. Necessarily headdress, since all excursions take place during the day, under the brightly shining sun, and sunscreen so that you don’t suffer on buses with sunburned shoulders or legs later.

How to pack your suitcase for a trip? It is worth paying attention to the weather forecast in the country you will be traveling to. This will help you plan your packing much better.

Who are you planning the trip with?

If you go on a trip couple in love without children, the choice of things will be quite free.

You can take with you a couple of extra dresses to have “to choose from,” cosmetics, a festive shirt with shoes, and so on – as long as it all fits into a maximum of two small suitcases. The main thing here is not to forget your camera and good mood.

If family traveling with children, then this is a completely different case. Many parents make a very typical mistake - they put only the things they need in their suitcases, and then on vacation they are surprised and upset why their children do not give them peace of mind and do not seem as happy as they would like.

In such a situation, it is important to take with you one or two favorite small toys, wax crayons and other entertaining little things, especially when it comes to a train to a deserted place, for example, to a house in the forest, where the child will have no one to play with.

Noisy companies traveling is easier in terms of things because you can share responsibilities. For example, for a hike, some take suitable dishes, some take a blanket, some take food, some take water, and so on. It is important to correctly calculate the volumes that will be required for the entire team.

What are the living conditions?

When a trip is planned with permanent accommodation in a decent hotel, there is no need to take bulky towels, bathrobes, slippers and other small items, which ultimately take up half of the suitcase and displace really useful things.

When booking a room, you should check this with the hotel consultant and clarify all the nuances so as not to bring too much.

When it is already obvious in advance that the conditions will not be ideal, it is worth soberly assessing whether you need to take this thing with you or whether it is easier to buy it there.

How to compactly pack a suitcase? For example, your favorite shampoo can be poured into a small jar and packed tightly, but soap can be bought literally on every corner in almost any country in the world.

5 things you can't do without

Packing clothes and shoes, especially in a fit of fantasy about how nice it will be for everyone on vacation, often displaces the basic things from your head, and therefore from your suitcase, that you should never forget about.

So, packing your suitcase for the sea, a list of essentials for relaxing on the beach or any other vacation spot:

  1. Money and documents. The first thing you should fold and triple check is the package of documents, tickets and insurance. The latter is required for traveling abroad.
  2. First aid kit. You should not take with you all the medications that are available at home or at the nearest pharmacy. It is enough to take a standard set of tablets: for colds, for the head, stomach, heart, disinfection of wounds, as well as rinsing drops in the eyes and a patch. The role of the latter is often underestimated, especially on hikes and far from civilization. It is also worth taking medicine for allergies, even if you don’t have any - they can arise completely unexpectedly and be accompanied by serious physical illness. Medicines for chronic diseases are also placed in the first aid kit, since climate change can make them worse.
  3. Cosmetic bag. Razors, deodorant, a small bottle of perfume, hairpins, elastic bands, hygienic lipstick can be needed at any time, but searching for and buying them is long and expensive.
  4. Creams and personal care products. This is especially true for women, since there may not be any convenient pads or tampons nearby. Store-bought skin creams, especially if they were purchased on the beach, in the heat of 40 degrees, with a long expiration date, may well require those same notorious allergy pills, even if there never was one.
  5. Sufficient amount of underwear. It's worth taking in reserve. If the trip is planned to be short, it is generally better to take a pair per day, since cutting on the spot is not always convenient.

Exotic trips sometimes require vaccinations, so when planning your own vacation in such countries, do not forget about a visit to the doctor.

When thinking, you should pay attention to the best tips for packing things for vacation, which will help you overcome panic and collect everything you need quickly and compactly:

  1. The first thing you should do is sketch out a rough list of things that you will need on the trip and follow it without being distracted by trifles.
  2. Pay attention to the weight of your suitcases; for example, on an airplane they charge crazy amounts of money for every extra kilogram.
  3. You should not take any bottles with a volume of more than 10 ml - they will simply be taken away when boarding the plane.
  4. Shoes should be taken in a minimum quantity, placed along the side of the suitcase. It's worth remembering that socks can be folded directly into boots or sneakers to save space. You can also place tightly twisted wires there.
  5. How to pack a suitcase so everything fits? Clothes should be rolled into tight rolls and packed one next to the other. This way it will take up significantly less space.
  6. If you plan to work on a computer, charge your phone or tablet, or use any equipment in general, you should pay attention to the fact that the country you are planning to travel to may have a different standard of sockets. To solve this problem, you can buy adapters in advance - they won’t take up much space.
  7. All expensive things, and preferably all things in general, should be packed in bags. During the flight, the suitcase will actively move, and the cellophane will protect them from mechanical damage.
  8. You should forget about the manicure set, since on the plane they will still take it away or force you to throw it away. It is better to immediately leave all sharp, piercing, cutting objects at home. The same goes for lighters.
  9. There is no need to put all things chaotically - just as they fit. For example, clothes need to be packed in sets so that they can be found immediately when opening the suitcase.
  10. Valuable and expensive equipment must be transported in hand luggage, as it will definitely break or deteriorate in luggage.

Don't panic, thinking how to pack a suitcase for vacation, however, you need to remember that the quality of your vacation may largely depend on this.

When packing, it is important to check with all trip participants what things they are taking, so that the women’s group does not bring three hair dryers or curling irons, when it is quite possible to get by with one, but take more necessary things or an extra outfit.

This post was prepared as part of a thematic photo project together with photographer Katerina Cherepanova. I express my deep gratitude to you for your cooperation and ideological spirit, Katya! Thank you for submitting the photos!

Several years ago, I also took a lot of extra and, as it turns out later when traveling, unnecessary things. Over time, I learned to take only the essentials, and on trips to Europe or Russia during the off-season, I only go with a backpack. I’ll tell you below an example of how this happens!

So, on an April trip to the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria and Italy (about 20 days), my things easily fit into a backpack. I also went to St. Petersburg for 12 days in May with a backpack. I definitely travel with a backpack for 3-4 days. For example, now I have returned from Kazan in September, where all my things were also placed in a backpack!

I want to immediately convince you that a backpack can fit a LOT of things, the main thing is to follow a few simple but important rules! So, let's go - how to pack a suitcase or backpack correctly?

Bathroom accessories

The most important rule to follow is to never do not take full-size products(shampoos, balms, shower gels, etc.). These items add the most weight to your suitcase! Many people buy such products while they are already on vacation, and in principle, this is also a way out. But not for me. Firstly, I’m used to using certain products that may not be available in the store. Secondly, the first thing I want to do when I arrive at my destination is take a shower, and not look for a store to buy shampoo, conditioner, etc. That's why I bottle my favorite products in special miniature containers from Ikea. I also take miniature toothpaste and soap.

For my hair when traveling, I use an absolute trio: a compact Tangle Teezer comb, an elastic band and a hair band, which I use when washing my face and applying makeup.

Care products

The approach to care products is the same as to bath accessories. I also bring face/hand cream and body balm in miniatures, if their packaging is large for my reasons.

Cosmetics

Since I’m talking about the example of a trip in the off-season, during this period, of course, cosmetics have a special tribute (when going to the sea, for example, I keep it to a minimum). From cosmetics, I take basic products that I use daily. If the packaging is bulky, I try to replace it with another product. If this foundation comes in a heavy package, I pour a small amount into a miniature one.

I most often use lipsticks and lip pencils as an accent of decorative cosmetics, so when I travel I take two/three variations - for everyday makeup and makeup for going out.

Clothes and shoes: 5 important rules

We've come to the hardest part - collecting clothes! My minimum set of clothes that fits in a backpack most often consists of two pairs of jeans/trousers, a couple of light jumpers/sweatshirts, two/three tops/T-shirts, one dress. There are several important rules when collecting clothes.

First rule: in order to pack your suitcase correctly, take only those things that are easy to combine with each other. For every thing that I take with me, there is an unspoken rule - if this thing is combined with others in at least 3 looks, then it suits me, and I take it with me! For example, a denim dress that can be worn both as a dress and as a shirt, tied at the waist.

The only exception can be a little black dress (or any other dress to suit your taste). Although, even this black dress can be easily tucked up and worn as a top with jeans!

Second rule when choosing clothes: give preference to lighter things and leave the heavy ones at home. Sometimes I cheat: choosing light, non-bulky things allows me to take an extra dress or jumper)

Third rule: When you pack your things, roll them up so they take up less space!

Fourth rule concerns shoes. I take only comfortable shoes, and they should be combined with all the chosen items. Most often these are two pairs of shoes: comfortable sneakers and some boots that can be worn with both a dress and jeans.

Fifth rule, also related to shoes: when I travel, I wear heavier shoes, and I put lighter ones in my backpack! Both pairs should be comfortable!

Accessories

For accessories, I take with me a small bag and a fabric tote, which fold easily and perfectly into a backpack. During the day, when traveling, I travel with a backpack, and in the evening, when I go out, I take a small bag. A shopping bag - for unexpected purchases.

Among the obligatory accessories in my backpack there will always be one snood or stole, as well as a light scarf with which I cover my head when entering a church/monastery. This scarf always travels with me and takes up about a gram of weight.

Like any girl, I add jewelry to my looks, so when traveling with a minimum amount of clothing, bright, unusual accessories will always save the day. Lately I've been loving brooches

Or it could be a collar/necklace. I also take sunglasses with me.

Gadgets

The minimum set of gadgets on my trip is a lightweight Panasonic Lumix GF6 mirrorless camera, an iPhone 5s and an old Transcend player with my favorite music.

Important things

One of the important details is vision glasses, these are my second eyes, I can’t live without them. I also include a wallet with cash and cards, and a flash drive for photos in this category. In my backpack you can always find a notepad with a pen because... When I travel, I always write down the most important information in a notebook, which I collect bit by bit for the blog, and I keep booklets and tickets as souvenirs.

It seems like I’ve listed so many things here that it won’t all fit into my backpack! But I assure you, this is not so. The basic contents I showed as an example today fit easily into my backpack. The main thing is to train yourself and reassure yourself that these things will really be enough for you!

I hope my experience was at least a little useful to you! Have fun traveling with a light suitcase!

Hello, dear readers of the site. The long-awaited vacation... All work matters have been completed, a place to relax has been chosen, tickets have been purchased or a route for the car has been laid out, and a hotel has been booked. My eyes are burning in anticipation of impressions and I really want to shout out: “Let’s pack our suitcase and go to the sea!”

It’s easy to say “collect,” but harder to do. After all, the hand just reaches out to unload the entire closet with clothes, generously sprinkle everything with cosmetics and jewelry, decorate this splendor with new shoes, it’s good if there is a place somewhere for analgin with activated carbon. At the end of the vacation, you realize: you were wearing only shorts and a T-shirt, your attempt to wear new shoes failed - they rubbed your feet terribly, but there was nothing to relieve the allergy attack, and an extra charger for your mobile phone would not have hurt.

To avoid excruciating pain for small, but annoyingly forgotten useful things, be sure to make a list of necessary things for a vacation at sea.

The most important and important: documents and money

As the famous proverb says: “Without a piece of paper you are nothing, but with a piece of paper you are a person!”

Passport or international passport - we save copies of documents in cloud storage, photocopies on plain paper - we put them separately with things in a suitcase, aerobatics - notarize the photocopies;

Train or airline tickets, if purchased online, are printed in advance;

Don’t forget about medical insurance, if you have one;

A driver's license, an international driver's license, if you are traveling in your own car - documents for the car and an insurance policy are required;

Don't forget to print out your reservation for a hotel room or apartment. It would also be nice to know the exact route to your future place of residence if there is no transfer;

Money - cash and credit cards, if necessary - currency, but do not store everything together!

Medicines

Don't be intimidated by the long list - it takes longer to write than it does to assemble. And tablets, as a rule, are packaged in blisters and do not take up much space, but they save a lot of time and nerves in case of illness. If there are medications that you take regularly, buy enough of them.

On your trip you will need:

Pain reliever;

Antipyretic;

Sorbent - will help with stomach disorders and allergies as an auxiliary treatment;

Antihistamine – for the treatment of allergic reactions;

Antispasmodic;

Probiotics and anti-poisoning;

Don’t forget the enzymatic agent - it will help digest large and unfamiliar foods;

Cream or balm for treating insect bites;

Adhesive bactericidal patch;

Sunscreen and burn remedy;

Preventive measures (if necessary);

Thermal water in a small volume will help with sunburn and refresh your face on a long flight.

We remember that you can take no more than one liter of liquids in your hand luggage on a plane! Mascara, lip gloss and creams are classified as liquids, so keep this in mind.

Hygiene items

Typically, hotels and apartments pamper their guests with branded hygiene products - shampoos, shower gels and soap. If you don’t trust their quality, then you should take all of the above with you, namely:

It is better to take “2in1” shampoo;

Shower gel and soap;

Cleanser and toner;

Mini toothpaste, toothbrush and floss;

Hand and foot cream;

Body cream;

Deodorant and eau de toilette;

Cosmetics;

Comb;

Manicure scissors and file, polishing grater for heels;

Means for “critical days”;

Loofah and shaving machine.

Technique

In our digital age, it is impossible to do without all kinds of devices. We prepare for the trip in advance and thoroughly: we charge powerbands (external batteries - rechargeable), buy SIM cards for roaming.

When traveling, the following are required:

Mobile phone – clear the memory for new photos in advance, don’t forget about an additional memory card, deposit a sufficient amount into your account;

Headphones;

Chargers for equipment;

Adapters for European socket or “tee”;

Camera;

Large flash drive;

Laptop or tablet;

A navigator with maps of the area if you are traveling by car;

A selfie stick so you don’t have to ask others to take a photo of you in front of something.

A hairdryer and an iron are quite bulky and cumbersome; they are usually present in hotels, so you shouldn’t pack them in your suitcases unless you have a personal porter.

Cloth

Do not take with you evening dresses, wide-brimmed designer hats in boxes and high-heeled sandals with mink fur - unless you are planning a vacation at closed fashion parties and beaches.

For a democratic holiday, the following approximate list of things is appropriate:

Swimwear – one will definitely not be enough;

Pareo or tunic for the beach;

Headdress – Panama hat, soft hat or baseball cap;

Several changes of linen;

Knitted shorts and denim shorts;

A pair of blouses and T-shirts;

Knitted sundress;

Cocktail Dress;

Light trousers or jeans;

Don't forget a cardigan or windbreaker for cooler evenings;

Some jewelry and sunglasses;

Shoes: for the beach, “going out” and comfortable for walking;

Beach bag and evening clutch.

Try to choose things from natural fabrics - silk, cotton, linen and viscose, but with the addition of elastane - such things are easy to care for and almost do not wrinkle. Without synthetic additives, things made from these materials turn into crumpled rags in a matter of minutes.

Other

This list is arbitrary, everyone collects it according to their needs, here are common items that may be useful:

Small sewing kit;

Beach towel and blanket;

Multiknife (multitool) - it has a corkscrew, a knife, and an opener;

Fumigator with liquid to repel insects;

Thermal mug - good for hot and cold drinks.

After our vacation, we save especially successful lists in handwritten form or electronically - they will definitely come in handy for subsequent trips. We wish you the endless sea, the gentle sun, positive impressions and a good rest!

If you love to travel, you need to know how to pack your suitcase properly. It's not difficult at all if you know how. And most importantly, if the suitcase is assembled correctly, then much more things can fit into it, which is good news. Vacations are organized in advance, but we most often pack our suitcases for vacation on the last day before departure and in a hurry we take a lot of unnecessary things and forget important things. If you don’t know how to pack your suitcase correctly, and most importantly, quickly and compactly, read the tips below that will definitely help you relax without problems, get a lot of impressions and recharge with positive emotions until your next vacation.

How to determine the required number of things for a vacation?

One insurance company conducted a survey. It turned out that women take at least twice as much clothing on a trip than they have time to wear. They are fond of packing and, for example, for two weeks of vacation they can take up to twenty blouses and tops, at least a dozen shorts, breeches and skirts, eight pairs of shoes, five swimsuits and a huge amount of cosmetics and jewelry. If we are packing a suitcase for vacation, we need to start making a list of everything we need to take in advance - about a month in advance. During this time, you will periodically review it - add and cross out, buy in addition what is missing. Such planning is guaranteed to help you not forget things without which your vacation will not be comfortable and interesting, and this is the most important thing! You will need a list of everything that will be in your suitcase not only during the turmoil before departure. Take it with you and your preparations when leaving the hotel will be as fast as possible and you will not forget something valuable to you abroad.

The list of things for a trip should always be made taking into account:

· number of days of rest and flight;
· tour program and mandatory events;
expected weather;
· holiday companions.
There is no need to be embarrassed to ask the travel agency manager everything you want to know about your future vacation - about the trip program, about hotels. Detailed information will save you from possible inconvenience. For example: there will be a long walking excursion, and you will not have comfortable moccasins, but you will have several pairs of high-heeled sandals in your suitcase.

What can't you live without on your summer vacation?

It makes no difference whether we are packing our suitcase for a vacation to Egypt, Turkey or Thailand. For a summer holiday you need a lot of light clothes, but warm clothes are also worth bringing. A few days before your trip, you need to inquire about the specific weather in the place where you are going.

Check your list with the list we recommend.

Did you miss anything? So, on vacation at sea you can’t do without:
· Comfortable shoes, but there shouldn’t be too much of it. Sandals, sneakers and flip-flops for the beach are a sufficient minimum. If you plan to visit a restaurant, you will need a pair of high-heeled shoes.
· Large amount of laundry so as not to waste precious time on trivial washing. The longer the vacation, the more you will need. There should be at least two swimsuits; what woman would want to wear the same one?
· Leisure accessories, but you don’t need to take a lot of hats, scarves and panamas from home, one at a time is enough. It is better to purchase beach umbrellas and towels on site rather than carrying them with you.
· Cosmetics in small bottles, so that each fund is enough for exactly as long as the vacation lasts. It is preferable to buy hygiene items upon arrival, use them and leave them at the hotel.
· Jewelry, but it is better to leave jewelry at home to prevent theft. Interesting jewelry on a summer vacation is the best option to embellish yourself.
· Technicians- phone, video camera, camera, chargers, adapters and flash cards. You should definitely have a small tourist first aid kit in your suitcase, since in a foreign country the necessary medications can be too expensive and can only be sold by prescription. All medications should be tried before so that you know what to expect from them.

Your travel first aid kit should contain the following:

1. sufficient quantities of medications used for your chronic diseases;
2. antipyretics, anti-cold drugs;
3. tablets for headaches, motion sickness and eating disorders;
4. medications for allergies and insect bites;
5. wound healing agents;
6. aerosols for sunburn;
7. contraceptives;
8. hand sanitizer.

It would seem that there is little science in how to pack a suitcase, but there are very common cases when the most necessary things, without which a vacation would not be possible, are forgotten at home. Check before leaving to see if you have forgotten your money, bank cards, documents, tickets, keys. Store them in a separate small purse bag, but its appearance should not be bright or eye-catching.

Packing your suitcase for vacation - don't take extra things!

When starting to pack your luggage, put all the things you plan to take with you in one place on the sofa or on the floor and estimate the resulting quantity and weight from the outside. Are all things really necessary? Try to get rid of some of what you take just in case or in reserve. Leave only the essentials and necessities in the pile. If you have scales at home, be sure to find out what the weight of the suitcase is. It is possible that its weight exceeds the norms of freebaggage allowance by planeand you will have to pay extra. Is it necessary to make these expenses if there are things in your luggage without which your vacation would still be great? Check whether you are taking with you clothes that do not match with anything and for this reason you will not be able to wear them. It is advisable to select both clothes and shoes so that they are in perfect harmony with each other.

Come up with the maximum number of possible ensembles with a minimum of things!

Ideally, the same T-shirt will go well with jeans and a skirt, and the shoes will also go well with it. The most important thing about packing a suitcase for a seaside holiday is not to pack too many things. A familiar situation: everything is packed and it turns out that there is some free space in your luggage. Instantly it is filled with something else, but is it necessary to do this?

Be sure to leave room in your suitcase for souvenirs!

You will later be reminded of a wonderful time of relaxation by cute souvenirs that you will definitely want to buy. Several copies will be needed for colleagues and friends - how not to please them with cute gifts?

How to pack things in a suitcase correctly?
There is a lot of information on the Internet on how to pack a suitcase - videos and all kinds of pictures will help you do it so that everything fits into one piece of luggage. Ideally, things should not be folded like this; usually, one suitcase only contains clothes for everyday wear, and the other for business meetings or attending parties. We are packing a suitcase for vacation, and traveling with a lot of luggage is very inconvenient, so our task is to pack things as compactly as possible.

How to compactly pack a suitcase:
· First, all heavy objects, such as shoes, books, are placed at the bottom. Pay special attention to heels so that they do not damage other things.
· Tops, T-shirts, T-shirts are rolled up and placed in the small free spaces of the suitcase.
· Socks can also be rolled up and then placed in shoes. Thanks to this, your shoes will not become deformed and space will be saved.
· Blouses and shirts are fastened with all buttons and folded so that the sleeves are horizontal on the back, and then folded in half or into a roll.
· Jeans and trousers are folded along the arrow and then laid out in the middle of the suitcase so that the ends hang down. You can fold sweaters in the center and cover them with the ends of your trousers.
· Hygiene items must be in a separate bag to prevent damage to clothing due to possible deformation of the bottles.
· Delicate items should also be placed in bags and covered with tissue paper.
· Rigid cups of swimsuits and bras should be placed one inside the other.

Vacuum bags are great space savers, so it is always advisable to use them when you need to compactly pack your suitcase. They will help to reduce the size of all clothes, but in them all things can become very wrinkled. Such bags are suitable only for those things that are not afraid of being crushed. If things are wrinkled during transportation, this can be fixed immediately upon arrival at the hotel in fifteen minutes. You can do without an iron. You just need to turn on the hot shower and hang all the deformed clothes nearby.

What to do if a couple is traveling and want to keep all their things together? All of the recommendations given on how to pack a suitcase will only be useful if the items do not have odors - they are not saturated with women's perfume or men's cologne. Otherwise, there is no way to get by without two pieces of luggage.

Updated: March 22, 2018

At first glance, packing a suitcase for a trip is a simple, unpretentious process. But anyone who has ever done this knows that several problems immediately arise: what to take with you, how to place it all, and how to make sure that the suitcase does not burst from its numerous contents. Some advise doing without luggage altogether and buying everything on the spot, but most still try to take everything they need on their trip. So how to pack a suitcase correctly so that everything fits? We will now try to answer this question.

We don’t take too much

If you have at least a few days before traveling, then write a list of all the things you need, put this piece of paper aside for a day, and then look at it with fresh eyes. As a rule, several items from a long list turn out to be completely unimportant. Cross out the unnecessary without hesitation. In this case, it is better to take less than more.

When collecting everything on the list, do not immediately put things in your suitcase. Place them on the bed or floor. Do not doubt, the huge amount of all this variety will cause you horror and a desire to shorten the list a little more. This simple trick will be a real godsend for those who have no idea how to properly pack a suitcase for a trip. Continue getting rid of excess items until the only thing left on the bed is what you absolutely cannot do without. If you are not going to a deserted desert or wild jungle, then most likely at the place of your future stay there will be an opportunity to buy inexpensive things, disposable tableware, hygiene products, etc.

The main thing is the correct order

Putting all the things together so that nothing gets wrinkled, spilled, or falls apart - this is only at first glance difficult. It is only important to observe the correct order of putting clothes, shoes and everything else into the suitcase.

Shoes should be at the very bottom. By the way, you need to put all your socks, ties, handkerchiefs, and underwear in it. This way you will not only save space, but also maintain the ideal shape of your shoes. Next, you can place large rolls of jeans, sweaters, etc. Place them closer to each other so that they do not unwind along the way. The next layer should be everything that can break: perfumes, lotions, alcohol, etc.

On top we place rolls of lighter and softer clothing: jackets, skirts, shirts, T-shirts. If you decide not to roll some clothes, but to fold them in the classic way, then place them in the next layer. Complete the assembly by placing various small items: belts, combs, jewelry, hairpins. Such things can be stuffed between layers. By the way, a twisted belt can perfectly serve as the basis for the collar of a shirt that is especially expensive for you. The first time you put together a small suitcase so that everything fits, it may not work out, then be patient, lay everything out and start packing again.

Ways to style clothes

There are four ways to pack a suitcase with clothes:

    Classical.

    You fold each shirt, pants and blouse the way your mother taught you in childhood - in a pile. Experienced travelers do not use this method, as it has two significant drawbacks: clothes take up a lot of space, and upon arrival, all items have wrinkled stripes at the folds.

    Anarchist.

    This technique is very dubious, but fast. You can justify using this method only when you are really short on time. Its essence is to take the entire chaotic pile of clothes with both hands and stuff it into a suitcase. Most likely, to close the lid, you will also have to jump on the suitcase.

    Advanced.

    You don't fold the clothes as usual, but roll them into tight rolls. This way you can save up to a third of usable space and pack your suitcase in the most compact way. In addition, things that do not have crease angles will wrinkle less. Most clothes folded this way can be worn immediately upon arrival. Textile items can be folded into a whole plastic bag and twisted until all the air is released. You can also use a vacuum cleaner. This method is perfect for those who don’t know how to pack as many things as possible into a small suitcase.

    Inventive.

    This method involves laying things crosswise. Place the most wrinkled clothes at the bottom of the suitcase. You can place your laundry in the center of this stack. Wrap each item in turn until everything is completely folded. If you also press these things with belts, they will arrive in their original form.

What to do with cosmetics?

Never bring full-size versions of all your face, body, and hair care products with you on a trip. If you want to take everything, then pour what is possible into miniature containers. If you don’t have any in your home, you can buy a special set of small jars, bottles and tubes in cosmetics stores.

If you are going on vacation or shopping, then you will definitely want to buy something in local boutiques, but there will be no space in your luggage, since a suitcase compactly assembled at home will refuse to accommodate new things. So why go to Tula with your samovar? What you need to take with you is a small but functional first aid kit. Abroad, you will not always be able to buy the medications you need at a pharmacy without a prescription, and the names of the medications may differ.
