Kanzashi hairpins made of satin ribbons and fabric. DIY ribbon hairpins with photo tutorials

Necessary materials:
- ribbon 5 cm wide, white – 1 m 20 cm;
- ribbon 2.5 cm wide green – 1 m;
- white bead;
- base for automatic hairpins.
Tools:
- scissors;
- tweezers;
- glue gun;
- cautery on wood.

We use satin ribbon. You can use other glue instead of a glue gun. For example, “Moment Universal”, “Moment Gel”, “Dragon” or other transparent glue. The advantage of a glue gun is that the glue hardens quickly.

We cut the white tape into 5 cm pieces. Fold the resulting square in half to form a triangle. Fold the triangle in half and in half again. We get a regular sharp petal. Then we separate the doubled part and throw the corner of the tape over to the opposite side. We seal the edge with a burner. We make a second such petal, but do not wash down the edge. Carefully place the first petal into the second and seal the edge of two petals at once. We tuck the middle of the fingers inside so that there is no crease. On the back side of the petal there are two edges, we clamp each one with tweezers and seal it. The result is a double round petal. We need 9 of these.

We make a sharp petal from white tape and solder the tip. We cut off the lower part of the petal a little, clamp it with tweezers and seal it. We turn it inside out and get an inverted sharp kanzashi petal. We do 4 things.

Cut 10 cm from the green ribbon. Fold it in half, back side out. We press the tape with a metal ruler, as in the photo, and cut it with a burner. We get a petal. We make only 10 pieces of these, 8 of which need to be turned right side out, and 2 left like that.

Cut out a circle with a diameter of 2.5 cm from a white ribbon. Drip a little glue and glue 6 double white petals. On the remaining three white petals, pinch the middle of the semicircular side with tweezers and seal it. Drop a drop of glue onto the sharp edge and glue the second row of petals onto the flower.

Glue the sharp inverted white petals together 2 at a time, with a drop of glue at the base, and glue them into the uninverted green petals. We get 2 buds.

Cut out a rectangle from white cardboard, as long as the base of the hairpin and 2.5 cm wide. Use scissors to round off the edges. Cover the cardboard with white tape.

Kanzashi's floral creativity is vast, and its boundaries are constantly expanding. Creative needlewomen experiment with textures, sizes and patterns of petals, creating more and more new masterpieces. But the traditional spicy petal has remained a favorite for more than one generation. He has no competitors. This is the detail that forms the basis of most flowers; there are one- and two-layer petals and fragments of more layers. This master class shows how to make an elegant kanzashi machine hairpin with beautiful flowers. A formal piece is suitable for a woman of any age, as it looks fresh and appropriate on any hairstyle.

For the automatic hairpin we need:

  • 9 pieces of red ribbon – 5*5 cm;
  • 27 pieces of red ribbon – 4*4 cm;
  • 11 pieces of white ribbon – 4*4 cm;
  • 6 pieces of green tape – 2.5*10 cm (in this work, 2 types of sheets will be used to create the greenery; you will also need a soldering iron to make them);
  • silver cord – 3*10 cm;
  • automatic hairpin – 10 cm;
  • green felt rectangle – 11*2.5 cm;
  • silver huggers with a diameter of 2 cm – 3 pieces;
  • half beads with pimples with a diameter of 1.3 cm.

Let's start creating an elegant hairpin

The hairpin looks really elegant. You will see this if you create the same copy and try it on yourself. Everything in the product is chosen harmoniously: the color and size of the ribbon, the beautiful base in the form of pointed leaves and silver loops, as well as the middle. To make the same hand-made beauty for yourself or as a gift, repeat the following steps.

1. You can buy and make all the preparations that are listed in the list with ease. The ribbons are inexpensive, so you will be pleased with the cost of the finished hairpin. Two-layer sharp kanzashi petals will be modeled from 5 cm and 4 cm tapes, and single sharp petals from 5 cm red squares.

2. You can start with a green cut for a floral arrangement. Use green satin ribbon to produce leaves. To separate the two halves in a way, you will need a hot soldering iron. Fold the long green strip in half. Then run the hot metal diagonally. Naturally, the satin will instantly melt under such high-temperature exposure. But in addition to all this, the satin edges at the points of contact will melt and stick together. Unfold the resulting halves, they will be of two types: closed and open, but both are pointed, for further work you will need all of them.

3. Use red squares to model sharp petals. The folding steps are as follows: once diagonally, then the resulting triangle along the height, and in a four-layer triangle, curl the corners, glue and trim.

4. Make 3 red flowers, each with 8 petals. It is convenient to glue or sew all the petals. Also prepare the middle parts – huggers and half beads.

5. For the large central flower, prepare red satin squares of 5 cm and white ones of 4 cm. The modeling steps are the same, only place the white four-layer triangles on the red ones before connecting the ends.

6. Prepare 9 red and white petals and sew (glue) them into a flower.

7. Glue one red flower onto the double one. Glue the centers to all three. Also make two additional two-layer petals for decoration. Only they will have a white ribbon on the outside and a red one on the inside.

8. Green felt will serve as a clearing for placing the bouquet, as well as for attaching the automatic hairpin. Glue the hairpin using the same felt strip.

9. First glue green sheets around the circle on top of the felt, thickly filling the entire area, overlapping, without gaps. Glue silver loops on one side, forming them from pieces of cord.

10. The entire green meadow must be firmly glued with a metal pin.

11. Glue on an elegant composition: a two-layer flower in the center, the other two on the sides. Glue two additional petals to the large center on the side opposite the silver loops.

Beautiful hairpin is ready

The creativity of Kanzashi is unlimited possibilities for needlewomen, a unique technique for creating unique accessories that cannot be repeated.

Hairstyle occupies a special place in the image of every beauty. When creating it, much attention is paid to accessories: ribbons, bows, hairpins. The main condition is that the hair decoration must be of high quality, chosen tastefully and please the owner.

It often happens that finished products that are sold in stores do not suit the chosen image. Then there is only one way out - to make a hairpin yourself.

It's always nice to wear jewelry that you made yourself. They differ from those purchased in a store because... the craftswoman puts her imagination into them. A woman of any age can complement her look with an original accessory.

In addition, homemade jewelry can be a good gift for a loved one.

Ribbon hair clips for beginners

Let's figure out how easy it is to make hairpins from ribbons, and how a detailed master class for this work will help us. We suggest discussing this in this useful lesson. Let's try together to build and glue bright, cute and beautiful decorations for the ponytails of little fashionistas.

You can make many useful things from satin and high-quality grosgrain ribbons, but they are most often used to make elastic bands or hairpins. The only thing is that this creative material is easy to work with, practical and, not least important, available to craftswomen in any color and quantity.

By choosing bright ribbons and beads of delicate colors, we will get an original couple of useful things for a girl. These hairpins can be a stylish gift for a holiday or birthday.

Let's start making hairpins from combined ribbons and figure out how simple the master class is.

To make hairpins (elastic bands) from satin ribbons with your own hands, you need the following material:

  • 1. Rep tape width 2.5 cm – 62 cm,
  • 2. Organza ribbon width 2.5 cm - 60 cm,
  • 3. Satin ribbon thin width 0.5 cm - 32 cm orange and 16 cm yellow,
  • 4. White bobbin thread and a sewing needle with a small eye,
  • 5. Silicone hot glue,
  • 6. White plastic center – 2 pcs.,
  • 7. Scissors,
  • 8. Fastening – clamps 2 pcs.,
  • 9. Matches or candle.

A strong base for making hairpins will be two rep ribbons. They need to be cut into two sections for each hairpin, 8 cm long, as shown in the photo.

To make the ribbon more attractive and beautiful, we will cut its edges diagonally into a triangle. To do this, fold the ribbon at the edge with the front side facing inward and make cuts on both sides.

Rep ribbon, like satin ribbon, tends to crumble at the edges and unravel. To avoid this, we just need to take matches or a candle, with the help of which the cut edges need to be slightly scorched.

To combine two tapes, you need to apply glue to the bottom one in its center and cover it with a second tape.

For the central center of the ribbon hairpin, we will prepare pieces of rep and organza. The edges of the organza are also singed, but very quickly and carefully. This material burns easily.

We fold the grosgrain piece of ribbon for the middle in half and sew it with a simple seam.

Since the thread is not torn off, we use it to tighten the part from the rep, securing the thread to a knot.

We also tighten the organza ribbon, singed at the edges, using a thread and a needle.

By pulling the thread through the center of the bows, they need to be fastened together.

We fasten it.

We also sew the second organza bow to the ribbons. We sew all three bows well again and tighten them to fix them in the center.

For two handmade hairpins we will make two blanks.

Cut a thin orange satin ribbon into pieces of the length indicated in the photo.

We will need only 4 of these blanks.

Lightly grease the central part of the rep with glue and attach thin satin ribbons there. Before attaching these additional ribbons, their edges also need to be trimmed and singed.

We will prepare a thin yellow satin ribbon in the form of 7.5 cm segments, the edges of which we cut and singe.

We fasten these segments in the center of the hairpin.

We generously fill the ribbons collected together - the middle ones, which we made from three bows (rep and organza) on the wrong side with hot glue and combine them with the main part made of rep to create hairpins.

To hide the threads in the middle of the hairpin, you can sew a decorative element (button) or place a half-bead or plastic round center there to suit your taste. It is attached using hot or super glue. It is best to use hot glue, since super glue has a specific smell.

To securely attach the hairpin to your hair, you can use a metal clip. It is attached to the base of the hairpins with glue. The finished hairpins are allowed to dry, and they are completely ready.

In this lesson we suggested making these hairpins from ribbons and a master class for them with your own hands. Happy crafting and creative success.

Master class of hairpins “Kanzashi flowers from ribbons”

For one “kanzashi flowers” hairpin you will need:

  • — base (clamp, automatic or click-clack);
  • - satin ribbon (dark green, light green and yellow) - 8 squares of each color with a side of 5 cm;
  • - for the top flower, white ribbon - 11 squares with a side of 2.5 cm;
  • - 10 cm pieces of gold cord - 2 pcs.;
  • - beads (green, yellow and red) - 2 pcs. each color;
  • — metal or plastic bead hugger – 2 pcs.;
  • - a circle of green or yellow felt, additional pieces of felt for attaching a hairpin;
  • - To cut, shape and singe all the parts, you will need scissors, glue and a lit candle.

Each flower will consist of two tiers: yellow-green and white. To make flowers, you need to shape traditional sharp kanzashi petals. Prepare yellow, light green and dark green squares with a side of 5 cm (8 parts for 1 hairpin).

Bend the squares diagonally in half, then the resulting triangles across the height - in half again. Three multi-colored triangular blanks will become the basis of a sharp petal.

Place the yellow triangle on the light green one, and the light green triangle on the dark green one. At the same time, move each top layer relative to the bottom by 1 mm.

Pressing the structure in the central part, close the petals and glue them together.

Trim the bottom edge, moving the scissors 0.5 mm closer to the top.

You should get a sharp petal, the outer side of which will be dark green, the middle will be light green, and the inside will be yellow.

Make 8 yellow-green petals from satin squares.

The glue should be applied in a thin layer to the side of the petals, then the parts should be pressed tightly together.

Prepare 17 white squares with a side of 2.5 cm. 11 of them will be used for the top flower, the remaining 6 will be used to decorate the pendant.

Make sharp petals by folding the squares twice. In this case, the details will be pure white.

Glue 11 petals together to form a flower. In this case, the petals are single (thinner), and therefore a larger number of blanks will go to the top layer.

Cut 2 pieces of gold cord 10 cm long. Tie one side of each piece into a knot. Thread the free end into the bead hugger and bend the ends into a bell shape, which will disguise the knot. Also string red, green and yellow beads (1 piece of each color per cord).

Make two decorated laces. Glue the remaining 6 white petals into branches consisting of three elements.

Glue the white arrangements to the hole of the bead huggers. Glue a bright center onto the central part of the white flower. In this case, it will be a funny bee.

Glue the white flower to the yellow-green one.

Glue hanging laces to the back.

All that remains is to hide the back part behind a felt circle and glue the chosen hairpin.

Summer decoration for a girl using the kanzashi technique is ready. The charming flowers look really original, and the bees add realism, giving the impression that they are buzzing, collecting nectar.

Stages of making hairpins with kanzashi flowers

Use half the white and all the pink satin squares to create the bottom tier of the flower. The remaining half of the white blanks will go to the plain top layer.

Start by making double pointed petals. First, run the flame of a lighter along the edges of the cut pieces of tape. Take the prepared square.

Fold it in half twice, forming a triangle the size of which is a quarter of the previous piece.

Glue the ends together to form an oblong kanzashi petal. Cut the bottom part evenly to 0.5 cm.

The white petal for the upper tier is ready; there should be 8 such blanks for hairpins made from kanzashi ribbons.

To create the bottom layer of two-color petals, prepare the remaining parts. Fold the white and pink squares twice separately.

Place the pink piece on the white one, slightly moving the top piece relative to the bottom (by 1 mm).

In the resulting isosceles triangle, glue two opposite corners.

Also cut off the lower part of the petal.

Two-color and one-color flowers can be created from prepared parts using a strong thread and a needle. Place each petal on a thread, tighten the knot and distribute the parts around the circumference.

Collect a beautiful flower for a kanzashi pin.

Do the same with the eight white petals.

Prepare a suitable hairpin and a felt circle.

Cut a strip in the circle, slightly moving it from the center. This method will allow you to secure the clip-clack hairpin.

Unfasten the clip and insert the tab into the slit.

When both flowers and the blank for attaching the clip are ready, take the hugger and half bead.

Glue the golden-pink arrangement onto the top white flower.

Glue the top tier onto the bottom flower.

Glue a felt circle with a hairpin on the back of the flower to turn the product into a hair decoration.

This use of a delicate flower is not the only one. If you attach a pin to the back, you will get a wonderful brooch. The flower can also be glued to a headband or hair band.

Barrettes are still in fashion today, so make several accessories using ribbons of different colors.
