Evgeniy Krivenko: I was born in the city of Krasnoyarsk and lived there until I was 21. As I remember now, when I was about 15-16 years old, passing by hairdressers, I constantly watched the employees on the street, they went out, some in need of nectarine, some to get some air, and I thought I should become a hairdresser, later than all hairdressers started Call them stylists, what a carefree profession and most importantly a pleasure. But my parents had other plans for me. After school, I went to technical school and graduated with a degree in welding production technologist, after which there were three months of hell at the factory, you can’t even imagine how broken I was because of the wrong chosen path in life that I had imagined for myself. The decisive moment in my life was a trip with my friend to Moscow. I had never been to Moscow before, but I was terribly raving about it. And I dreamed of living here, I was sure that Moscow would “accept” me, and so we were invited to her birthday by her friend, our fellow countryman, a talented clothing designer, we were going for the holiday on our own and I had to do my friend’s hair, at my birthday “ a compliment arrived from the birthday boy, and he told me that I should return to Krasnoyarsk and finish any school in hairdressing, and that’s what I did. I was lucky, upon my arrival in Moscow, almost 10 years ago, I met my future mentor, stylist Dmitry Orlov, I am incredibly grateful to him for believing in me and seeing the potential in me. With Dima, I reached the level I dreamed of; artists began to appear in my circle. The first and such a positive one was Yulia Nachalova, I remember our tour in Minsk with such trepidation, Yulichka is an amazing person. Then there was the Star Factory 7 project and off we go. I would like to give a little advice to everyone who dreams of something, but has not yet realized the dream, believe in yourself, believe in the dream, be grateful even for what is not working out right now, the main thing is not to give up. I was also able to come to Moscow for the third time, the first two trips were canceled and I am grateful to the universe, because everything has its time! As for the difficulties in my career, I didn’t have any, you can’t even imagine how positive I was about everything that happened to me, I was glowing with happiness that I was finally in Moscow, so I didn’t encounter any difficulties (smiles, - editor's note).​

FRM: You studied at the international English beauty academy Pivot Point, from which you graduated with honors, and at the same time you took part in various competitions and won the highest awards. Tell me what's the secret? Do you need to have talent or is the secret in choosing the right school?

Evgeniy Krivenko: Of course, you need to have talent! It was one of the competitions that brought me a trip to Moscow, after which I stayed here. It was a competition for men's haircuts and I won the Grand Prix! You need to be an artist, you need to be able to see shapes in haircuts, you need to clearly see the final image. Schools, of course, will help you open up and bring out all your potential. I remember there was a case when a girl graduated from art school with only C grades. Then I entered another and she also got all three grades with great grief. Now I think it doesn’t work, because not everyone has it, a good school is a huge plus for your development, but if you don’t have talent, there’s nothing you can do.​

FRM: You are a great colorist. Your work speaks about this. Is it difficult to learn the right combination of colors and proportions?

Evgeniy Krivenko: Thank you. I have a very strong base, all the rules of colorists fly off my teeth, I have a clear understanding of what will happen if I take this or that color! If a novice colorist gets it, and he understands what the color wheel is, if he understands the basics of color, then he will be able to express his desires not only in words, but also in the hair.

FRM: If we talk about coloring. What are the trends in 2017?

Evgeniy Krivenko: Bronzing is still in fashion, the effect of the sun in hair is shatuzh, balayage, ombre, but ombre has been updated, now it’s red! for brunettes it's dark chocolate. Evgeniy Krivenko: My downside is probably that I don’t follow bloggers. I have plans to create my own beauty box with truly “working” cosmetics, which of course will be accompanied by a video. Now we are looking for decent cosmetics that many people could afford.​

FRM: Do you consider yourself a creative person and do you have any hobbies?

Evgeniy Krivenko: I am creative to the core! (smiles - editor's note). I sing and dance and draw. I get incredible pleasure from my work and the more difficult the task, the more pleasure I get from solving it! I haven't been interested in painting my roots or just trimming my ends for a long time. I'm interested in the process of complex dyeing or when the color changes. When the brain starts to think - the most interesting thing begins - there is practically no free time, I am an active stylist in the salon, I also have permanent bags with my artists, the only thing I always try to devote time to is training, I can’t live without sports.​

FRM: What is the most memorable image or experiment in your work?

Evgeniy Krivenko: The most enchanting image that caused a lot of noise is Elena Letuchaya with bangs. Everyone was talking about these bangs! In general, it’s easy with Elena in this regard, she is a generator of ideas, she is not afraid to change, it was a great pleasure to work with her.​

FRM: If we talk about image. In your opinion, what is the most important thing when creating bright images that will look tasteful?

Evgeniy Krivenko: When creating images, you must take into account your proportions, learn how to correct your figure with the help of clothes and accessories, determine your color type and follow its shades. Clearly understand in what style direction you will go out today, by understanding all these factors you will look perfect.​

FRM: What is the beauty industry missing today?

Evgeniy Krivenko: There are not enough high-level specialists in this industry. Nowadays, people become stylists and image makers after two months of training. We've been studying for years. Every second person is now a stylist and all the stars have a huge resource in the industry for development, now the market is crowded, the opportunities are colossal (smiles - editor's note).​

FRM: You work with many artists. Is this mainly image work or creating images for specific events and filming, or is it regular image work?

Evgeniy Krivenko: Work with artists is very clearly structured, this is a large team of specialists, I am responsible for the hair. If it’s a shoot for a magazine, then I discuss my part of the work with the editor or image maker; if it’s a video, then the director dictates. And if, for example, Olya Orlova and I gathered in the “light”, then I am completely in charge of the parade.​

FRM: You travel a lot. The most beautiful place on earth in your opinion?

Evgeniy Krivenko: I started traveling 8 years ago, visited about 15 countries, traveled almost all of Europe, I feel good everywhere, I am apparently so tired that any change of location is already good. I adore New York and Thailand, only there I find harmony and rest my soul and body. Although I think that these are not the most beautiful places you are asking about, I probably haven’t been there yet, but I’m sure that I will always return to Thailand.​

FRM: Did you manage to implement everything planned in 2016?

Evgeniy Krivenko: My last three years have been very active, in 2014 I began collaborating with Lena Letuchaya, in 2015 with Olya Orlova, 2016 gave me Valeria, I really consider her a gift from fate. Those whose dreams have ever come true will understand me; Valeria was a dream from childhood. Everything is progressive for me, I don’t make plans, I set tasks and solve them, it’s easier that way! In connection with the purchase of an apartment in 2014, I had to sell my car, but already in 2016 I bought a car again and the one I really wanted.
