Knitted moccasins. Indoor moccasins for your beloved man

No one will dispute the popularity of knitted shoes. From year to year it does not go out of fashion. And there are reasons for this.

If earlier our grandmothers only knitted socks, and a little later knitted shoes were purely homemade knitted shoes, then today in such shoes and into the feast and into the world...

Every year, more and more opportunities and materials are provided for creating beautiful knitted shoes, in which you really won’t be ashamed to appear in public.

If earlier craftswomen used old, boring shoes as the basis for knitting shoes, today the choice of soles is very diverse. And how much yarn!

The insoles for the shoes were purchased at the store.

Nadezhda is very pleased with the moccasins. Knitted shoes turned out to be comfortable and light.

Many thanks to Nadezhda for permission to show her work on my website. By the way, here you can see Severyuzhka’s knitted handbags. Such cool ones.

Note to needlewomen:

How to choose a sole for knitted shoes

We measure the length of the foot.

To the length of the foot we add the thickness of the material for making shoes, multiplied by 2. The resulting amount will correspond to the size of the sole.

Yarn "Linen"

A linen product shrinks quite a bit when washed, but when worn, it returns to its original size. Comfortable in both hot and cool weather.

These are the wonderful knitted moccasins with soles that lasievna offers to knit and shares with us a detailed master class. So, I’m knitting for my daughter, it’s size 38, it doesn’t matter, we’ll go according to the pattern. The yarn I have is Cotton Gold from Alize, 330 m in 100 g in two folds and one Lily thread for strength. It turns out that I have one single crochet measuring 5*5mm. Knitted tightly, Clover hook No. 3, regular 1.5 mm metal. For those whose yarn is different in yardage, we follow the pattern. Ordinary slippers, Kislovodsk ones, like those at Fix Price cost 50 rubles.

We cut off the material and pierce the sole along the edge at a distance of 5 mm in a circle along the upper edge for tying. Then we take a nylon thread (or the main thread) and tie the edge of the sole. To do this, we thread the hook into the hole from the outside in, grab the thread, and pull it out to make a loop.

Then we pull another loop through the adjacent hole and knit them together.

We repeat this action in a circle, fasten the thread, I just tied the beginning and end and cut it. Then we take our yarn for moccasins and tie the sole in a circle under the resulting arches to a height of 2 cm in rows with a lifting loop. We cut the thread and hide it.

Now we measure the sole in length, and at half the length we place markers on both sides. Mark the middle of the front with a marker. We measure the widest part of the foot on the sole, take half and measure in both directions from the marker in the middle. This will be our toe. I got 9 loops (4.5 cm). We knit the back halves of the loops (internal in our case), at the end we need to go up to the next row. To do this, we knit two connecting stitches into the next two loops and turn the moccasin with the heel towards you, knitting the second row in the opposite direction. Again, in the next two loops of our side stitch we knit 2 connecting columns, they end all rows. Knit more carefully!!! Otherwise, by the end of knitting, your moccasin will blow away to the Aurora cruiser; it is better to write down each row by the number of loops. From the third row we begin to add loops in the front rows to widen the toe; in each first and last loop we knit two stitches instead of one; in the purl rows we knit them without changes.

We knit our toe with increases up to the markers, then start the tongue. We knit 2 cm without increasing (I have 4 rows), begin to shorten, I shortened the loops on both sides three times across the row, i.e. I shortened the loops in the front rows. Then I got a tongue width of 7 cm, knitted another 3.5 cm (7 rows) without changes, close the loops, remove the thread. We tie the tongue with single crochets.

Let's start knitting the backdrop. From the connection of the toe with the side towards the front of the moccasin, measure 3 cm. We knit the front halves of the loops along the tongue, then the rest of the heel for both halves of the loops in a circle around the heel (sorry for the pun), turn and knit in the opposite direction from marker to marker another one row. Then we decrease one loop, a single crochet, over the next two single crochets we knit 2 chain loops (this is the hole for the lace), then we knit single crochets. 4 stitches before the end of the row we knit 2 chain stitches, after 2 single crochets we knit another stitch, we do not knit the last stitch to shorten it. In the opposite direction we knit all the loops with single crochets. It turned out to be two pairs of rows, with and without a hole. We alternate the pairs so that there are 3 holes on each side, the last pair of rows without a hole.

For the lace, I knitted a chain of 90 cm air loops, adding Italian lurex. For those who want to knit exactly according to the photo, you need to measure not 3 cm for the heel, but 1.5 cm towards the toe, the decreases are the same as in my case, only without holes. Then along the side of the binding we knit a row of single crochets, in the second row we leave space for holes for the lace, the third row is single crochets. At the points of connection with the boot we make connecting posts. We tie the heel in a crawfish step and thread the lace. For knitting on an insole, everything is the same, only the insole is pierced from the bottom up.

But we don’t say goodbye to you here, come back again!

Save so you don't lose

There have been a lot of knitted shoes on the site lately, but each MK has its own nuances that can be useful, so my hamster drags everything he sees here! (N.Z.)

Master class on sleeper moccasins from the author Oksana Urenko. Thanks to her for the detailed master class!!!

Sleepers made their way to fashionistas from their home wardrobes. Translated from English, slippers are slippers that only rich aristocrats could afford. Originally these were men's shoes, but women around the world have long appreciated the convenience and practicality of sleepers. Semi-closed shoes with flat soles, in the area of the instep, without laces, zippers or buckles - it is not surprising that now they are worn “in the feast and in the world” not only by men, but also by women. Sleepers can be worn with almost any outfit, as you can easily choose the perfect option from a wide variety of materials and colors.

To create you will need:

1. Hook No. 2

2. 100% cotton yarn called “Narcissus” and “Soso”

3. Sole (if there is no sole, Oksana suggests taking the sole of a sneaker)

And so let’s get started... Take the sole, pierce holes every 0.5 cm. We knit two rows with single crochets...

Then mark 11 middle loops. In the first loop we make one air loop and knit 10 more loops - in the end we get 11 loops...

Now we insert a hook between the loops, as in the photo and pull out a loop, knit the resulting loop with a loop on the hook...

Like this... And we knit two loops together.

Then we insert the hook again between the posts and simply pull the thread into the loop...

Purl row: insert the hook into the second loop from the hook and knit to the end of the row...

Now we knit each row: insert it into the second loop from the hook and knit to the end...

Knit to the desired width. For size 39 and a narrow leg, you get 31 loops...

In order for the openwork pattern and yarn overs to not be pulled together later, it is advisable to finish the row like this: pull the thread through the loop and pass it through the main loop...

But you can also connect this option...

Oksana took the pattern like this...

Finish the row, insert the hook through the loop, then pull the thread through and through the loop...

We knit the pattern to the desired height. To align the pattern, knit from the front side single crochet, counting the loops, knit 3 rows...

We knit the heel 14 rows...

Knit the last row of the heel together with the toe...

Now the strapping...

Tie with a lobster step...

Moccasin slippers are ready!

For several seasons now, moccasins have been on the catwalks. Why is this happening? The answer is obvious, because these are the most comfortable and practical shoes. Of course, when choosing moccasins, you need to pay attention to a lot so that the fashionable look is in harmony with the shoes. Moccasins come in a wide variety: men's and women's, children's, fabric, leather, all kinds of colors and finishing options. But there is an excellent alternative to expensive models from boutiques - hand-crocheted moccasins.

History and features

Primary sources tell us that the first moccasins appeared in North America; they were considered the traditional footwear of the Indians.

The First Moccasins of the Indians

Initially, they were made from animal skins, protecting feet from sharp rock ledges, sharp cacti, and the bites of poisonous snakes and insects.

Moccasins - shoes with a really long history

A little later, in the early 30s of the 20th century, such shoes captivated the colonists with their originality and practicality, smoothly migrating from the prairies to the cities.

Originally, moccasins were the footwear of North American Indians.

With a confident gait, moccasins gradually gained popularity in Europe. Fashionistas from France and Italy were the first to gladly change their tight and uncomfortable shoes, preferring incredibly comfortable moccasins.

Antique moccasins from the 30s - 50s

The first models of moccasins were made entirely of leather, including the sole.

Later, designers increased the practicality of such boots due to a more wear-resistant sole made of rubber or polyurethane.

Moccasins with polyurethane soles and low heels

Over the years, moccasins have changed a little; plain-looking models have been replaced by bright colors, different materials, and grace and elegance have been added.

Modern moccasins

The soft sole, contour stitching and tongue remain unchanged.

Features of knitted models

The trend of the new fashion season is knitted shoes. What makes them special?

  • Uniqueness. Knitted shoes are a fresh fashion idea. Leather shoes won’t surprise anyone; there are also a lot of fabric models. But tying shoes is a completely new take on moccasin design.

  • Individuality. When creating such extraordinary shoes with your own hands, you can take into account all the structural features and width of the foot, instep and exact size.

Handmade moccasins will definitely warm and delight their owners
  • Comfort. The convenience of knitted shoes lies not only in the softness of the material.

Knitted moccasins are warm, convenient and comfortable

Thanks to the knitting technique, the foot always “breathes”, so moccasins can be worn not only in spring, but even in the summer heat. The work of knitting moccasins is not at all difficult. The main thing is self-confidence, basic knitting skills, a set of good knitting tools and successful patterns to help. Thus, you can create not just standard shoes in any style - from elegant romance to sporty ones, but a real highlight of your individual image.

Yes, yes, not only women love such shoes. But men also managed to appreciate the comfort and convenience of moccasins.

Knitted men's home moccasins

To knit men's moccasins, we need a good creative mood and a set of the following materials:

  • ready-made insoles of the appropriate size;
  • threads (several colors can be used);
  • knitting needles;
  • exact diagram.

Pattern for crocheting moccasins

The knitting algorithm is step-by-step, based on garter stitch:

  1. To begin, cast on 48 stitches and knit four rows.
  2. In the fifth row you need to add one more loop after every fourth, for a total of 60 loops. Thus, as many rows are knitted as the planned depth of the slipper.
  3. Let's start knitting the heel. For this there is a loop pattern 26+8+26. The middle eight stitches are worked two together at the end of each row until 8 stitches remain.
  4. Additional loops from the edges are collected from the side walls. A total of 24 loops are obtained, which are knitted to the bone in approximately 16 (individually) rows.
  5. The loops are decreased according to this principle: the first 8 loops are knitted as usual, constantly, and the remaining 8 loops are knitted together with the loop from the side. We knit this way until the middle 8 loops remain.
  6. The final stage is to pick up from the edge loops on the sides of the middle ones in the same quantity as the planned length of the top of the moccasins. The first four rows of loops are knitted, and then the decrease occurs according to the already familiar principle.

This model of moccasins is distinguished by its versatility, so it is suitable for both men and women.

To give moccasin slippers the final look, you need to tie them according to the crab step principle. Depending on the chosen sole option, these moccasins can be house slippers or original shoes. You can add decor in the form of a large button or metal rivets.

Men's moccasins with felt soles

When it’s already warm outside, but it’s not time for sandals yet, it’s important to keep your child’s feet warm while walking. In this case, moccasin booties will be ideal. Similar models of children's slippers, knitted or crocheted, are absolutely universal and are suitable for both boys and girls. The choice of color depends entirely on the preferences of the craftswoman.

Children's moccasins crocheted

To work you will need a pattern, threads, and a hook.

Pattern for crocheting baby booties-ballet shoes

The job description is as follows:

  1. A chain of seven chain stitches is made. Starting from the second loop and until the end of the row, knit with a single crochet and turn the product over.
  2. From the second to the fifth row, the description is as follows: 1 chain stitch is knitted with a single crochet, turning the product over each time.
  3. Starting from the sixth row, the addition of loops begins according to this principle: one chain stitch, then two double stitches are knitted, and then one double stitch until the penultimate loop. In the last loop of the row, two single crochets are knitted and the product is turned over.
  4. From the seventh row to the tenth the description is as follows: an air loop is made, after that one single column and so on until the end of the row.
  5. From the eleventh row, the work algorithm is repeated. And only from the sixteenth row does the decrease begin: one air stitch is cast on, then one is skipped, after which it is knitted with a single stitch to the two outermost loops in the row.

Having tied the sole (two elements), we tie it with a half-column and begin to rise up. It is imperative that when knitting vertical elements, the hook is inserted from right to left!

Crocheting process from right to left

The knitting circle starts with two chain stitches and is knitted with a double crochet stitch on the next seven stitches. Next, perform a simple single crochet until the last eight stitches. In the last 8 loops, knit one double crochet stitch. In the final round you need to decrease the loops. Since moccasin booties for babies are always bright, you can add decoration in the form of ribbons, contrasting edging or colored buttons.

Crochet pattern for women's moccasins

The knitting description is only for the upper part of the moccasins, so the sole must be prepared in advance. There are two patterns - toe and sides.

  1. Toe. First, a chain of 15 air loops is assembled. Next, according to the diagram, 12 rows are knitted.
  2. The heel and sides of the moccasins are knitted according to the second pattern. Along the top part, one row of single crochets is made, then two single crochets and a picot. This pattern is repeated as long as needed according to the unique sizes of the moccasins.
  3. Assembly. First, the toe and side parts of the slippers are sewn together according to the pattern, and then everything is sewn together to the sole. For extra elegance and grace, it is better to choose a ready-made knitted sole.
