How to make beautiful pencil cups. Glass for pens and pencils - the best helper to organize your desktop

From the most ordinary and unnecessary things, you can make the necessary glass for pens, brushes and pencils, which accumulate in mountains in creative natures.

As fantasy tells, for the decoration of such a glass you can use: an unnecessary tea box, coffee jars, paper spools from scotch tape and paper towels, cans, jars of chips.

In my arsenal, a paper can of tea and paper baboons were at hand. And for decoration, you can use a clothesline of their cotton or any thick thread, the decor of raw threads looks very original. Today it is very fashionable and healthy to wear clothes made from natural fibers, for example, a fluffy knitted linen skirt looks stylish, original and emphasizes feminine beauty.

You can also combine different colors, or you can use, like me, only a white thread. You will also need PVA glue or Dragon glue and unnecessary colored felt-tip pens or colored pencils.

All the work is to coat the jar with glue and gently wrap a white thread around it, as you can see in the photo below. And then, when the glue dries a little, you can additionally decorate the glass. You can take unnecessary old colored pencils, cut them to the length of the glass (I sharpened them a little more) and glue them to the jar. And you can stick anything you like, everything that is at hand: flowers from postcards and old hairpins, colored buttons, beads, sequins, etc.

In the same way, you can make a glass from a paper bobbin, only before pasting it with a thread, you need to make a bottom out of cardboard and masking tape, see the photo below.

The cups can be glued together for ease of use, or you can put unnecessary hair ties or stationery gum on them. And do-it-yourself cups are in no way inferior in design and convenience to store stationery sets.

A universal selection of gift ideas for every occasion and occasion. Surprise your friends and loved ones! ;)

Greetings, dear friends! Today I hurry to you to tell you how a pencil box looks and is made with your own hands. I will show several master classes and just interesting photo ideas.

A few months ago my husband had a birthday. In this regard, I decided that in addition to the main gift, I want to give him something special, made by myself. The choice fell on a pencil holder, since Danil is fond of calligraphy and, accordingly, has a lot of accessories for this type of creativity.

How to make a pencil holder with your own hands: a master class

I'll show you how to make a pencil holder with cute My Neighbor Totoro characters. In fact, this technology can be applied to any kind of pencil holders.

To create a pencil holder you will need:

  1. Tin can (from under any canned food)
  2. Any fabric of your choice for wrapping the jar (I used fleece and mickey fleece)
  3. Felt for finishing
  4. Threads in the color of the fabric
  5. Scissors
  6. Glue with a thin nose, or a glue gun
  7. Plastic eyes
  8. A piece of synthetic winterizer

First of all, you will need to measure:

  • can circumference,
  • can height,
  • bottom diameter.

In accordance with the measurements obtained, cut out rectangles from the fabric in 2 parts with the parameters: (can height + 0.5 cm seam allowances) x (circumference + allowance).

For both rectangles, first sew the back seam (with a “back needle” seam or on sewing machine) to form a closed surface. Sew the bottom to the rectangle along the contour. Turn one part out and leave the other.

Set aside the resulting cylinders. Now cut out 18 pairs of animal parts from the fabric - in my case, small totors. I don’t give patterns, since it’s easy to draw the outline yourself - an oval with ears))

Sew paired parts together, you get 9 animals (do not forget about the holes for eversion).

In place of future eyes, draw dots and make cuts crosswise, as in the photo.

Turn the animals inside out and stuff with padding polyester.

And now add a little glue along the contour to the holes obtained. Be careful - then you have to insert eyes into the holes. Insert until the side of the eyes is completely buried in the fur.

Sew up the hole at the bottom.

wow, eyeball

Sheathe the jar with details from the padding polyester with a seam "over the edge". This is necessary so that the pencil holder does not knock on the table. You can skip this step if you wish.

First, sew the edges of the padding polyester wrapped around the jar. Sew on the bottom too.

Pull one of the cylinder pieces onto the outside of the can. In my case, it does not reach the top edge a little - a special effect.

At the bottom of the pencil holder I also put a synthetic winterizer (I glued it so that it would not move out).

Insert the second (not inside out) cylinder inside the stand. If desired, you can also drop a little glue on the bottom so that the inside is fixed.

Sew one cylinder to the other with a hidden seam.

I get such a pencil box)) If you wish, you can stop at this stage or decorate the product according to the description further.

Glue or sew all the animals over the entire surface.

Cut out a few leaves from felt and embroider characteristic lines on them with a “back needle” seam. Glue the leaves to the resulting pencil case. You can also embroider patterns on the bunnies themselves.

We love the result

From cans

Apple

A very interesting way to make a pencil holder is to use a jar, liquid acrylics, paper, a plate, string and a fake petal with a glue gun.

Pour paint into a jar and shake. Drain off any remaining paint and let dry. File the edges if necessary. Wrap the thread with cord and decorate with a leaf - voila

lego guy

The method is identical to the previous one, only at the end you will need to apply a face with a black permanent marker.

Minion

Meet the favorite of all the kids!) Here you will need a tin and a colored EVA polymer (foamed rubber, which can be purchased in the form of plastics in craft stores). By the way, the polymer can be replaced with soft felt.

Cut out all the details according to the template and wrap the jar with a yellow rectangle. From the inside, also glue a rectangle to hide the metal part. Glue the muzzle, panties. Don't forget the mouth.

From plastic bottles

Pears

To make these cute pencil holders, all you need is a few oblong bottles, scissors, tape, acrylic paints, and a photo frame to mount (optional).

Cut off the threads of the bottle and cut out part of the top, as in the photo. Seal the central part with tape on both sides, leaving an empty space in the middle. Paint the empty space and decorate with the remaining lids, also painted. You can glue it to the frame, or you can leave it as it is.

Monsters

This is where the shampoo bottle comes in handy. Cut off her top with a lid, choosing the shape you want. Cut out the handles from the rest. Glue funny faces made of felt or paper.

From cardboard and paper

cylinders

The easiest way to make a cardboard pencil holder is to use cylinders from clothes rollers, paper towel rolls, or toilet paper. Wrap them in newsprint, glue them together if desired. All

book flower

Very unusual and bright idea. Take an old thick magazine or reference book. Divide all its pages into 5 equal parts. Glue the pencil to the side. Wrap a book around a pencil so that it is in the center, glue it.

Top with white acrylic paint. Cut out the bottom of the thick cardboard by circling the pencil holder. Glue the bottom.

from wood

Or rather, not even from wood, but from wooden pencils. To do this, you just need to glue a few pencils together, forming a wall. You will need 4 such walls. At the bottom, glue the bottom of thick cardboard.

But I described the 10th pencil holder in an article about New Year's decorations. I strongly advise you to look, there are a lot of interesting ideas.

By the way, minky fleece, from which the outer green background of the first pencil holder and white totors were made, acquired Here. I advise you, because it is very, very difficult to find it in woven fabrics.

If you have a plastic cup or some kind of unnecessary jar lying around, do not rush to send them to the trash can. After all, they can make an excellent cup for pencils.

What we need to decorate the cup:
- a plastic cup or jar;
- leftover yarn
- plasticine;
- flour;
- salt;
- water;
- toothpick;
- glue;
- gouache.

Progress

1. Stick small pieces of plasticine directly on the cup. From above, two small balls will be quite enough, but the bottom should be covered completely.

2. We take the yarn and tightly wrap the cup around it. The ends of the thread at the end of the work will need to be securely fastened.

3. Despite the fact that at this stage the cup looks quite good and original, we will still decorate it additionally. And for this we need to execute ... from the test. They will decorate our original pencil cup

Crafts will be made from salt dough, which will have to be specially prepared. For the dough, we need the following ingredients: two cups of flour, one cup of salt and one cup of water. All this must be thoroughly mixed. Make sure there are no lumps in the dough. In addition, it is very important that it does not dry out ahead of time. The easiest way to solve the last problem is to place the dough in a plastic bag.

4. From the dough we will sculpt a ladybug. To do this, take a small piece of dough, roll a ball out of it. Put a toothpick on top of the ball, thereby dividing it into two equal halves. This way we get the general outline of a ladybug. Then we take another piece of dough, make a head out of it and connect the two elements. We need to make some ladybugs.

5. At the next stage of work, we will send the dough to dry in the oven.

6. Similarly, we make balls and also dry them in the oven.

7. Then the matter remains small - attach all our elements to the cup and paint them. For painting ladybugs, ordinary gouache is best suited, which then (when the paint is completely dry) can be additionally covered with one or two layers of varnish.

8. If you have a desire, you can continue decorating the cup. Using the same paint and brush, apply multi-colored dots to the threads or draw leaves on which our ladybugs will sit.

9. Pre-prepared test balls can be randomly placed on the surface of the glass. Alternatively, they can act as the core of a flower. In this case, the petals will have to be finished. However, if you have some other original idea, nothing can stop you from bringing it to life.

It is best to make a cup together with children. This will allow not only to develop in the baby fine motor skills, but will also bring him a lot of pleasure from joint creativity. Experiment and engage with your child as much as possible. He will definitely appreciate it. But in no case should you lead the process, just push the child in the right direction. And be sure to remember that independent activity is very important for any child.

Marbles - glass balls

Organizer, pencil holder, stationery stand - different names for the same item. A simple yet important subject. Thanks to the pencil holder, the desktop is kept in order, the necessary items are always at hand. Vintage, stylish or bright - it can become an interior decoration!

You can buy a stand at a stationery store or order an author's model. But if you like to create or you have children, then this article is for you! In it, we will discuss how to make a pencil holder with your own hands.

paper pencil holder

Paper is a great budget craft material! The art of origami wonderfully develops the children's brain - this is a real puzzle. There are quite a few options for paper pencil holders - from a simple quadrangular box to complex modular (consisting of several elements) variations.

Reference! modular origami, unlike the classical one, involves folding figures from several sheets of paper. Each sheet is folded into a separate element (module), then the parts are connected by gluing or inserting one into the other.

Step by step process creating a modular pencil holder of a simple design:

  • You will need 6 sheets of thick, shiny, bright, double-sided square-shaped colored paper (you can different color), scissors, glue.
  • Take one square of colored paper. Fold it in half.
  • Unfold the sheet and fold in half on the other side. Expand the sheet again.
  • Lay the edges of the sheet to the center line, press the folds. Expand sheet.
  • Opposite edges also lay to the second center line, press the folds. Expand sheet. It turned out a kind of markup for 16 equal squares.
  • Bend all four corners, laying the corner to the nearest point of intersection of the folds.
  • Lay two strips with folded corners to the center line.
  • Flip the rectangular shape upside down.
  • Bend the short sides up, laying them to the center line. The result is a square with a diamond-shaped figure in the center.
  • Insert the left strip into the triangular pockets of the right until it stops to make a three-dimensional triangle.
  • Once again, press all three folds of the triangle. The first module is ready!
  • Follow the same pattern for the other five elements.
  • If desired, you can insert a piece of colored paper of a different color into the diamond-shaped window of each three-dimensional triangle.
  • Glue six modules together. Pencil with six compartments is ready!

Cardboard pencil case

There are quite a few models of cardboard pencil holders - from simple to real works of art.

Template option. The easiest option is to find an origami box template of the shape you like on the Internet, download, print and cut it out. Transfer the contours of the template and fold lines to cardboard, cut along the contour. Bend the template along the fold lines. The shaded parts (the so-called allowances) are smeared with glue and glued to the base.

Vintage masterpiece from cardboard tubes from paper towels

  • You will need 3-4 pieces of cardboard tubes, strong glue, scissors, a lot of decor.
  • Make tubes different in height. Cut cardboard circles of the desired diameter for the bottoms, glue the bottoms to the tubes.
  • Paste the tubes on the outside with vintage wallpaper or fabric, you can do decoupage. Decorate with roses, lace, ribbons, pearl beads.
  • Prepare a round or fantasy-shaped solid base from self-adhesive foam board. Remove the adhesive backing from the foam board. Lay the base with the adhesive side on satin material, cut off excess fabric along the contour, melt. Glue a thin knitted lace along the contour.
  • Stick the tubes bottoms on the base in different places.
  • Complement the composition with a vintage bird, a miniature in a frame, a scattering of artificial pearls!

Jar pencil holder

With regard to do-it-yourself pencil holder models from a jar, there are innumerable options!

For girls

You will need a pineapple tin, scissors, glue, decoration materials.

Paste over a tin can with pink corrugated paper or cloth. Top, bottom and center of the jar gird beautiful lace or tapes, gluing them.

Glue tracks of rhinestones or pearl beads over lace and ribbons. In the center, on the front side, stick a mini-composition of cut-out lace elements, satin ribbon roses and beads!

For boys

Paste over the jar with a shirting fabric with a pinstripe or small check print. On the front side, in the direction from top to bottom, stick a row of shirt buttons.

Cut a solid rectangle out of felt with a length equal to the circumference of the tin can - this is the collar. Glue the collar along the inner edge of the can, bend it outward. You can complement the composition with a mini-tie!

The above examples of organizers from improvised materials are just the beginning of a long list of possible models. Popsicle sticks, expired felt-tip pens, floppy disks, toilet paper tubes, shampoo bottles, plastic bottles- photos of various pencil holders show that the list of improvised materials can be continued indefinitely. Create, move from simple to complex, and who knows what masterpiece you can create one day!

DIY pencil holder photo

The order on the desktop usually does not linger for a long time either in children or in adults. Proper organization of space and workplace will help adults organize the workflow more efficiently and teach children to be organized and organized. A glass for pens and pencils will help you organize your writing materials.

How to store writing instruments

In order for the desk to be in order, it is necessary to purchase or make a glass holder for pens, pencils, scissors and other stationery items. Such a stand allows you to keep the necessary office nearby, and not look in drawers, on shelves. A do-it-yourself glass for pens and pencils will appeal to children and motivate them to keep the work area in order. There are many various ideas how to make such a stand yourself. Parents can only decide on the material and model and bring it to life with the child. By the way, not everyone knows the name of the glass for pencils and pens. Many people call it that - just a "glass", but the name "pencil case" or "desk organizer for office" would be more appropriate.

How to DIY

Making a glass for pens and pencils with your own hands is easy. For the manufacture, you can use a variety of unexpected ideas for decor and materials. Most of these crafts do not take much time and are not financially expensive, because it is interesting to decorate a glass with materials that are almost always available in many homes. A pencil can be made from plastic tubes (plumbing), tin cans, toilet paper sleeves, wood, glass jars, flower pots. Of course, the appearance of a tin can or a paper sleeve is not very pretty, the raw materials are only blanks and need to be decorated.

What you need

To create a glass organizer you will need:

  • raw materials (cans, bushings, material chosen for decoration);
  • transparent glue;
  • scissors;
  • glue gun;
  • threads, needles;
  • ruler.

Some materials may also require additional tools.

Wooden pencil case

A glass for pens and pencils can be made from natural wood. To do this, you will need a wooden frame of a small height, in which you should remove the inner wood (with a chisel), giving it the appearance of a glass. The preparation is interesting and original. It does not need extra decor, as the tree itself is an interesting natural finishing material. You can also use the bark of a tree by pasting it over a tin or glass jar. Such a pencil holder will also look very unusual and natural.

Tin can decoration

You can make a glass for pens and pencils yourself using cans from coffee drinks and conservation. Such material is rigid, durable, and the decor falls on it easily and holds well.

  • Knitted cover- you can make a case from threads using the simplest knitting pattern, which will perfectly decorate a brutal tin can. For ease of use, so that the bundle does not fidget, it can be glued to the jar.
  • Rope (twine) is another interesting way to decorate a glass for writing instruments. To do this, we wind the rope or twine on a jar pre-lubricated with transparent glue (you can use a glue gun). In this case, the threads should be tightly joined so that they adjoin each other without gaps. To give a complete look, you can decorate the product with a bow.

  • Fabric - a rectangle should be cut out of dense fabric, clasping the jar in diameter. Then sew the inside and put on a jar. If desired, the decor can be diversified by gluing beads, pebbles, bows. These vintage-style pencil cases look very impressive, covered with fabric in combination with lace and satin ribbon.
  • Burlap - a rough material in combination with a strip of linen or chintz fabric and lace will make a tin can a nice table and room decoration. In this case, it is better to glue the burlap to the bank. And then decorate.
  • Wallpaper, self-adhesive, scrapbook paper - to give the appearance of a tin can, you can use any pieces of wallpaper, self-adhesive film and scrapbooking paper. If the surface of the jar is corrugated, the pattern may crumple somewhat, so it is better to choose smooth tin cans to make a glass for pencils and pens by yourself.

Other unusual options

Also interesting ideas are:

  1. Bushings - do not rush to throw out the tunnels from under the paper towels and toilet paper. They are perfect for storing pencils and pens on your desk. Decoration options can be different: they can be painted, painted or pasted over corrugated paper.
  2. PVC tubes - a whole organizer can be made from plumbing tubes by gluing several pre-cut bushings onto the board. Before that, they can be decorated with a cloth, beautiful pebbles or spray-painted.
  3. From pencils - interesting idea is decorating a jar or sleeve with colored pencils. They should all be equal to the height of the jar. Each pencil should be glued vertically to the jar, pressing firmly against the previous one. You can tie a ribbon around.

As you can see, everyone can make a glass for pens and pencils if they wish, and ideas can be very diverse. A DIY cup for office supplies will save you money and be a cute little item to help you keep organized.
