How to collect a child in kindergarten? Preparing a child for kindergarten. Should my child take toys to kindergarten?

Greetings, dear friends. As I wrote earlier, we are passing and very soon my baby will go to kindergarten, a new life will begin for the crumbs. Well, in order for the transition to a new step in life to be as easy as possible, it is necessary to prepare the child. This will be discussed in today's article. I will tell, how to teach a child 2 years to kindergarten without tears.

As you know, my son is 5 years old and he has been going to kindergarten for several years (he went to kindergarten at 2 years and 9 months, like Nastya), so the topic of adaptation to kindergarten is already close to me))
Of course, all parents worry about how the child adapts to the new team, how will he find a common language with his peers? How can moms and dads help him with this, make it easier for the child to get used to the new conditions dictated by the kindergarten? How to teach a child to go to kindergarten with the least stress for the baby?

How to teach a child to kindergarten without tears

Kindergarten is first and foremost a new environment. For a child, adaptation in kindergarten is stressful. After all, he is torn away from his mother, next to whom he had previously been around the clock, without being separated for a minute. Moreover, boys react more sharply to this gap. After all, it is they who are more attached to their mother and need her constantly.

We prepare in advance. To make adaptation easier, it is recommended to start preparing in advance. The first thing parents need to do is go to the selected kindergarten, get acquainted with the administration and the teacher. View and evaluate the conditions in which their child will “live”. Tell about your child, about his psychological characteristics.

Reviews. I also looked for reviews on our city forum in the section dedicated to our kindergarten. In this group, other mothers happily answered our questions (those mothers who were just planning to enter the kindergarten). There I learned a lot about the conditions of the kindergarten, the characteristics of this or that teacher, the daily routine, what the children eat for breakfast / lunch / afternoon tea / dinner and at what time.

Educator. I was very careful in choosing educators for my children. My son was first enrolled in another group, I went to the head and asked to be transferred to another, which in my opinion is the best! The manager, fortunately, went to the meeting, and now the son goes to the teacher, to whom I wanted him to go. So the son is always happy, well-groomed, they are constantly studying, learning rhymes, doing various crafts. And just talking with her is a real pleasure. When the teacher is on vacation (literally recently, in the month of June, she was gone for a month, so her son was waiting for her, all the time asking when Valentina Grigorievna would come out.

With my daughter, I also decided to take the choice of a teacher seriously, yet this person will be with my child most of the day for several years. The choice was between two educators, I chose the one with whom I communicated (she “led” her son’s group for some time and I really liked her). We had the choice to go on June 1 to another teacher, or on September 1 to the one we liked. We are looking forward to September 1st

  1. The child needs to be taught to communicate with other people: both children and adults. Therefore, walk with him more often, and in crowded places: parks, playgrounds, etc. My daughter used to be shy of other kids, hid behind me and did not want to communicate. We began to walk on the playgrounds more often and the baby is already reaching out to other children, trying to play together. Often, after we pick up our son from kindergarten, we stay for a walk on his territory so that Nastenka gets used to it;
  2. For easier and faster adaptation, gradually bring the child's daily routine at home closer to kindergarten. This must be done in advance, one to two months before admission. I wrote earlier about ours, it is approximately similar to the regime kindergarten in which we enter. If you do not know the daily routine of your kindergarten, go and ask, I think the teachers will be happy to tell you;
  3. Teach your child that kindergarten is good. He should not be afraid of this institution. I constantly tell my daughter how good it is in the kindergarten, there are a lot of children, toys, good teachers. In the kindergarten they play, study, sleep, and in the evening the children go home;
  4. Do not bring your child to the kindergarten tour early in the morning when other children are brought there. After all, it is possible that he will see their tears. He may have an opinion that kindergarten is bad. He will ask you a completely reasonable question: “Since others are crying here, why should I go there?”;
  5. When the child already starts going to kindergarten, at first do not leave him in the group for more than 2-3 hours. Gradually increase the time he is there. My son went before lunch, probably a month, at least. Although many children after a couple of weeks were already left to sleep. I did not want to speed up the learning process, we gradually entered into new life. I don't know what will happen to my daughter. But we will walk part of the day until I understand that the baby is ready to stay to sleep. Still, I want to accustom the child to kindergarten without tears and stress;
  6. At first, something in the garden should remind the child of home. There must be something of your own. It could be a toy. Convince the child to take it with him to the garden and leave it there. You will see - the next day he will go to the garden with great enthusiasm. After all, he knows that a “friend” is waiting for him there;
  7. The most difficult to adapt in kindergarten are those children with whom their mother constantly sat. Therefore, try to make sure that next to your child there are some other relatives besides you - your sister, brother, etc. Previously, my daughter was almost always with me or my husband, but now she can stay for a while with my sister, my dad or mother-in-law;
  8. When taking your child to kindergarten, assure him that you will definitely come back for him. In kindergarten, the psychologist advised us (parents) to leave a key in the child's box and say that we are going to work, and after work you will come in for the baby, take the key and go home together. Without a baby and a key, you still won’t be able to get home, so take the baby anyway;
  9. Take care of the fragile nervous system of the child, reduce the load on it. Try to temporarily reduce trips to the theater, circus;
  10. Teach your child self-care skills in advance. By the time a child enters kindergarten, they should be able to eat, dress, put on shoes, go to the potty, wash their hands and fall asleep on their own - they will not pump on the hands in kindergarten;
  11. While adjusting, try to spend more time with your child. Joint walks will not be superfluous. Talk to your baby, ask how his day went, praise him for his achievements. Even for the fact that he went to kindergarten!
  12. Try to develop a positive attitude in your child kindergarten. In his presence, do not scold, do not criticize the teacher, nanny or group;
  13. If a child suddenly refuses to go to kindergarten, let him do this little prank. However, not for long. The break should be only one or two days. These days, tell him about how many interesting things await him there;
  14. At first, when I took my son to kindergarten, I promised him that I would go to the store and buy a surprise for him. When I return from the store, I will immediately pick it up from the kindergarten. I always kept my promises, and by the time I had to pick up the child from the kindergarten, there was some kind of “surprise” in my bag - a small toy, a kinder surprise, some healthy snack (for example, marmalade) or something else. But with this method, care must be taken so that it does not develop into a constant practice. Otherwise, the baby will constantly demand gifts))

In the life of every family, there comes a time when you have to send your baby to kindergarten. Then, especially for young parents, many questions immediately arise. At what age do you do it? Which preschool is better to choose? How to keep your baby comfortable adaptation period? We will try to answer all these questions.

Sooner or later, every child will have to face adaptation in the children's team.

The first stage of adaptation

It is necessary to start preparing for this stage in advance, about two months before the start of enrollment in kindergarten. task preparatory phase is the formation of skills and abilities in the child's behavior, thanks to which the process of adaptation to unknown conditions will be easier and faster.

We collect information

First, you should try to collect as much information as possible about preschools in your area. For completeness of information, try to use several sources. Using the Internet, you can go to the website of each of the preschool institutions.

It is worth visiting the kindergarten you like: you can visit with your child children's holiday, go for a consultation with a psychologist, visit an open day, consult with other parents, educators and the head. First of all, it will depend on them how much your baby will like to go to kindergarten.

Determining the optimal age

According to psychologists, it is best to send the baby to kindergarten when he is 3-4 years old. At this age, children are much easier to adapt to an unknown environment, unlike two-year-olds. This is due to the fact that they have already learned to talk, they know how to serve themselves a little, they have gained experience in communicating with adults. Also at this age, babies have a need to communicate with peers, they behave calmer when their mother is absent for quite a long time.

Age 3 is great for starting preschool

We assess the readiness of all family members

Of course, it is impossible to say exactly at what age it is best to send your baby to kindergarten - first decide for yourself whether you really cannot do without kindergarten at the moment. Children well feel the doubt of adults in the need for this education. The process of addiction is easier for those children whose family has no other choice. Remember that after the child's first visit to the kindergarten, for the next 2-3 months you should have a large supply of free time, as it will be necessary to adapt to the visit mode that is comfortable for him. There are children who from the very beginning feel good in preschool, and some cannot get used to it for a long time - in this case, you should not rush things, you need to allow the child to gradually get used to the unknown environment.

Often, short stay groups are created in kindergartens so that the baby can gradually get used to the full day group. If there is such an opportunity, do not miss it. Children attending such groups are much easier to adapt to unknown conditions.

In the event that you are planning to take a vacation in the near future and go on vacation with the whole family for 2-3 weeks, it is better to postpone visiting the kindergarten. The nervous system of the child will undergo a serious test, as he will again have to adapt to an unknown environment.

So that the child does not have time to feel very sad, in the first weeks it is better to leave him in the kindergarten not for the whole day.

We go through physical training

Before the baby spends his first day in kindergarten, he needs to go through a medical commission and pass all the tests. You should not think that if you received a conclusion from the pediatrician that your child is ready to attend kindergarten, he is not afraid of illness. However, your little one will be able to avoid most colds if treated correctly. These procedures must be started in advance, at least 3 months before enrolling in a preschool institution. Kindergarten teachers have been resorting to this technique for a long time during their summer recreational work.

Excellent mood is a constant companion of the hardening procedure. The procedure should not last more than 5 minutes. It would be nice if your baby can regularly go to the pool or it is best to give preference to a kindergarten with a pool.

We start to live according to the schedule

Specify in advance what daily routine operates in the preschool institution that you have chosen: the time of arrival of children, feeding, daytime sleep. We will have to reconsider the regime and at home. Correction should be done 2-3 months before the child goes to kindergarten. You will need a lot of patience and endurance: one desire is not enough for the baby to change his schedule, as he is subject to a dynamic stereotype. This issue requires a serious, consistent and systematic solution.

It is necessary to develop a certain regimen and adhere to it every day (each member of the family must comply with it). First you need to organize an early rise for the crumbs in such a way that he feels the need for it: “Let's go for a walk in the park, otherwise your favorite swing will be busy,” etc.

How earlier child gets used to the “kindergarten” schedule, the easier it will be for him to adapt

Just do not pretend that these measures are aimed at preparing for kindergarten, otherwise the child will develop a dislike for this institution ahead of time. In the process of laying down, you need to use actions that the little one likes: read a book, listen to calm music. Children prefer consistency: this way they feel more comfortable and fall asleep faster. When the baby misses daytime sleep, try to just lay him down after dinner and read him a book. If the little one is used to sleeping more than 3 hours after dinner, try to reduce the sleep time to 2 hours.

All by myself!

Try to teach your child independence in self-service, play, communication with adults and peers. If by the time of enrolling in kindergarten the child learns to use a spoon, go to the potty, dress himself, he will feel more comfortable in the group.

Try. You can give him a spoon in his hands and explain what it is for. Give your little one the opportunity to dress themselves. Show him how to properly put on clothes and shoes. As soon as the baby shows independence, be sure to encourage him. Help only if it is really necessary. Development occurs through overcoming difficulties. Share with your child the joy of his success. Try to teach the baby to play on his own: feed the doll, build a house, drive a car, etc. First, take part in the game with him, show him how to do it right, and then watch the child play from the side. At first, just thanks to the toy, contact between the crumbs and teachers can be established. The toy will be a good occasion to communicate with the child and help to gain his trust.

It is easier for independent children in the kindergarten, because they are less dependent on caregivers

In order for the crumbs to have a desire to go to kindergarten, you need to set it up in the right way. Let him know that he is old enough to visit the garden. Let the baby think that this is a reward for his efforts. Tell him about your positive experience. Let him look at your photos in kindergarten with peers. Explain how interesting it is in kindergarten: you can play with friends, walk, eat together. In no case should you exaggerate and lie to the child, he must receive reliable information. Invent a fairy tale where the characters go to kindergarten together. If there is an older child in the family who enjoys going to kindergarten, ask him to tell the kid how good it is there.

Spending time with other children

Before enrolling in kindergarten, the baby must learn how to behave in society. He needs to be taught to understand prohibitions, obey adults, communicate with peers, and not offend other children. This is facilitated by frequent pastime on the playground, trips to visit friends with young children. Invite them to visit as often as possible. Give your little one the opportunity to interact! The experience of the "sandbox" is certainly important for all children - thanks to communication with others, the baby distinguishes himself and reveals his individual characteristics.

When playing on the playground, tell him how to ask for a toy, change, or offer to play with peers together. In order for the baby to master the skills of dating, you must first ask yourself the names of other children, introduce them to your baby. The child will imitate you and eventually learn to do it himself.

The experience of interacting with other children is gained even in the sandbox, so mom should explain to the baby the intricacies of communication in a timely manner

Mom, don't go!

According to many psychologists, how long and how painfully your blood will adapt to kindergarten depends on the relationship between children and parents. It will be much easier for a baby if, before enrolling in a kindergarten, he already had the experience of parting with his mother. It is important for the little one to know that his mother will definitely return for him. Practice sometimes parting with the crumbs, over time increasing the distance between you. On initial stage you can stand with him in the sandbox, then move a meter away from him, then even further away, but so that he can see you. Do not scold the child and rush things, as you can provoke even more anxiety.

If possible, leave the little one with relatives or a close friend (whom you completely trust): at first, not for long, then gradually increase the time of parting with him by 2-3 hours, then up to eight or nine. Until the moment the baby visits the kindergarten, you need to try to make him feel the need to communicate with others and active independent actions.

Every time tell your blood what time you will pick it up - come on time. If the child learns this moment, he will not worry in the garden that you will not take him away.

The second stage of adaptation

Dear reader!

This article talks about typical ways to solve your questions, but each case is unique! If you want to know how to solve your particular problem - ask your question. It's fast and free!

If at the preparation stage you did everything right, then by the time you are enrolled in kindergarten, the baby will already know why he is going there. However, an adaptation period cannot be avoided. To minimize possible problems during this time, try to do the following:

  1. Think about whether you really can not do without a kindergarten? If you have doubts, most likely, the adaptation process will be difficult.
  2. Be patient! During this difficult period, the baby tends to cry.
  3. Try to build rapport with caregivers and other parents in the group.
  4. When entering the locker room, always greet everyone who is present there: other children, their parents, caregivers. The kid will feel that it is safe here.

Mom should emphasize in every possible way that the teacher and other children are friends with whom the baby will be interesting and safe.
  • Some believe that it is advisable to spend the first day in kindergarten with the baby, but you should not do this: parting is still inevitable, and it may seem offensive to other children that their mother is not around.
  • You should not say goodbye for a long time - when leaving, once again hug and caress your child, wave your hand to him through the window. If it’s hard for the little one to part with you, dad or grandmother can send the baby to kindergarten. At first, do not leave the child for a long time and discuss with the caregivers the time at which you will pick him up.
  • Do not forget to praise the child for success in the garden. Let him tell you how he spent his day. Do not be lazy to hug and caress your blood as often as possible.
  • You can draw a house, a kindergarten, a job, a store, etc. on paper together with the baby. Use the arrows to draw a route and tell the baby how you will take him to kindergarten, go to work, go to the store, and then be sure to take him home .
  • Never lie to a baby, speak only the truth. Be patient at home with your child's behavior during the acclimatization period, as at first he will feel insecure in a preschool.

Kindergarten is certainly necessary for the full-fledged upbringing and development of the child, since it is very important for a person to be in a team. Every kid who has reached 2 or 3 years old has to go through the adaptation process. Komarovsky gives several recommendations to make this process less painful:

  1. It is better to start attending a preschool institution at a time when maternity leave has not yet ended. As soon as the baby gets sick, mom can immediately pick him up and sit at home with him for a while.
  2. You need to decide on the time of year when you plan to give the baby to the garden. The best option is summer or winter. Spring and autumn are not the best time, since during this period there is a high probability of catching colds.
  3. Specify in advance what kind of policy is promoted in the preschool institution: whether children are forced to eat, whether they are dressed too warmly for walks - this can seriously impede the adaptation process.

According to Komarovsky, you can also try to speed up the adaptation process by following these tips:

  1. At the initial stage of visiting a kindergarten, show favor to your child, do not scold him, because he is already under a lot of stress.
  2. Even at the preparation stage, you should prepare the baby for more communication: go to playgrounds more often or make new acquaintances.
  3. First you need to work on strengthening the immune system. In this case, the baby will hurt less, and therefore adaptation for him will be much easier.

Komarovsky does not deny that there are many difficulties in the process of adaptation to a preschool institution, but this is not a reason to refuse it. It's just that the family needs to prepare for the process with all responsibility, then it will be much easier for the baby to go through this difficult period in his life.

Soon the baby will go to kindergarten. Parents worry, clarify the nuances, think how the baby will feel among unfamiliar children. Most of all, the issues of adaptation to the rules and requirements of a preschool institution are of concern. It is important to remember the “little things” that are just as important as a positive attitude and psycho-emotional readiness to attend kindergarten. Parents should check whether all documents and things are prepared. Many are concerned about the question: “What medical certificates do future preschoolers need?”.

The head of the kindergarten and the teacher will tell the parents what is needed for admission to the chosen preschool institution, what things will be needed, what should not be taken with them. In most kindergartens, the list of things is approximately the same. Detailed information will be useful to adults whose son or daughter will soon become a preschooler.

Required documents

Check if all papers are in order. Without a package of correctly executed documents, the baby simply will not be accepted into kindergarten.

What documents are needed for kindergarten? To enroll in a preschool you will need:

  • baby's birth certificate;
  • certificate of registration at the place of residence;
  • V without fail, father's or mother's passport;
  • if the marriage is not registered, a certificate of paternity is required;
  • medical card form No. 026/U;
  • health insurance policy.

From time to time, legislation on preschool education changes are made. Do not rely on the advice of friends and relatives, neighbors whose children attend preschool. Over the past period, some requirements may have changed. Always check the list of required documents with the manager. The head of the children's institution is obliged to provide parents with a list for collecting the necessary documentation.

Which doctors do you need to go through for kindergarten

An important point that some parents treat negligently. Often, adults postpone a visit with the baby to the pediatrician and narrow specialists for the last week before going to kindergarten. In a hurry, the vaccination card is sometimes lost, the baby has diseases that need to be treated.

To save yourself and your child from unnecessary fuss, hassle will help advance preparation for the collection of medical certificates. Upon admission, parents are required to provide a special card, which contains data on vaccinations, diseases transferred from birth. If the baby is prone to allergic reactions, the pediatrician in the medical certificate must make a note. Parents will receive the same card in their hands, after which they will hand it over to the school.

Useful information:

  • mandatory medical examination before entering a kindergarten includes an examination of a young patient by several specialists;
  • First, parents take the future preschooler to see a pediatrician. The doctor finds out the state of health, takes into account complaints, directs to an appointment with narrow specialists;
  • after passing through all the doctors, the parents again bring the completed medical card with the marks of the specialists to the pediatrician. The pediatrician, on the basis of the data received, gives an opinion, allows visits to the kindergarten or sends for the treatment of certain diseases, in the presence of which visiting a preschool institution is prohibited;
  • after a course of therapy, parents bring the baby to a specialist or pediatrician (depending on the identified pathology). An ENT, surgeon, dentist, dermatologist or ophthalmologist (according to the profile of the disease) checks the quality of treatment, with positive results, refers to a pediatrician. The pediatrician signs the medical card, gives the go-ahead to visit the kindergarten.

Which doctors do you need to go through for kindergarten? In addition to the pediatrician, the child must be examined, the following specialists give a conclusion:

  • ophthalmologist;
  • otolaryngologist (ENT doctor);
  • pediatric surgeon;
  • dermatologist;
  • dentist;
  • speech therapist;
  • pediatric gynecologist (for girls).

A prerequisite for admission to kindergarten is good tests. Without these data, the pediatrician will not sign the permission.

Required research:

  • general analysis of blood and urine;
  • bacterial examination of feces (for babies under 3 years old);
  • scraping for enterobiasis + analysis for worm eggs (one week before entering the kindergarten).

Important! A certificate from a children's clinic is required, confirming the absence of contact with persons with infectious diseases. Another important point is the availability of all vaccinations according to age. In the absence of some vaccinations, vaccination is mandatory (if there are no medical contraindications).

What your child will need from the first day in kindergarten

Educators recommend asking the teacher for a list of things and accessories without which the baby will be uncomfortable. Perhaps in the early days you will bring more clothes and shoes than you need, but if there is no spare T-shirt or tights to replace wet ones, the child will experience a lot of inconvenience.

Minimum list:

  • clothes for a walk, taking into account the season. If in doubt about the weather, you can give a woolen hat and a lighter one, under the jacket - one more warm jacket and so on;
  • in summer, a mandatory panama hat, cap or comfortable hat;
  • two bags, necessarily signed. The first contains a change of clothes: 2 T-shirts or T-shirts, tights, 2 pairs of panties, a handkerchief (preferably two). You will need a skirt or dress for a girl, shorts or pants for a boy. Clothing should be signed so that educators can easily find the right thing;
  • the second cloth bag is empty, with a waterproof bag inside. Here, if necessary, the teacher will fold dirty laundry;
  • removable shoes, always with a fixed (closed) heel for the prevention of flat feet. Slippers, sandals do not fit. For the convenience of the baby and caregivers, shoes or shoes should be Velcro;
  • for the smallest preschool children (nursery and junior group) an oilcloth bib is required: so the little one will not stain clothes while eating;
  • one roll of paper towel and soft toilet paper, a pack of paper napkins;
  • for the off-season 2 warm blouses;
  • flannel pajamas;
  • for sports activities, Czechs, a T-shirt, shorts or a tracksuit;
  • socks - 2 pairs.

For the first days, educators allow the child to take one of their favorite toys from the group. With your pet, it is easier for children to endure separation from their parents. Think about what to give the baby: not very expensive thing so as not to break, without small parts. It's better if it's a doll or soft toy good quality with short hair.

The teacher will tell you what kits for creativity you need to bring for classes. Children often sculpt, glue, draw, they need certain supplies.

For creative activities you will need:

  • high-quality plasticine, a special plastic board - for modeling;
  • paints, album, coloring books, pencils, brushes - for drawing;
  • cardboard, colored paper, scissors with rounded edges, non-toxic glue - for applications;
  • shreds, corrugated paper, cotton buds, paper napkins, stencils - to create original products.

Always check with the teacher what things and accessories will be needed, and which ones are better to refuse. Sometimes parents bring a bag of unnecessary things that do not fit in the nightstand. Choose clothes with a comfortable fastener. Remember: the teacher has 20 wards, and not just your baby. With an uncomfortable clasp for several kids, the preparations for a walk are delayed, some kids sweat, while others have difficulty getting dressed.

Now you know what things and accessories the baby will need when entering kindergarten: you definitely need full list from the educator and supervisor. Prepare a package of documents, go through a medical examination with the baby, buy comfortable things, supplies for creative activities. Contact the teacher more, clarify all the details. The fewer unanswered questions remain, the more comfortable it will be for the son or daughter in the garden.

Video - tips on what a child needs for kindergarten:

Find out what parents should do and what the baby should be able to do so that parting with his mother brings him new impressions, not tears.

After the birth of a baby, priorities in the family change dramatically. The child grows up, maternity leave ends and mommy begins to think about how to make sure that the baby can easily find a common language with other children in a preschool. It is important for young parents to know how to prepare a child for kindergarten, so that he gets used to the new rhythm of life as quickly as possible and does not make hysterics for teachers.

Preparatory process before the garden

It depends only on the older generation how the baby will be able to perceive the new environment. If you decide that the baby will attend a certain kindergarten, then first try to find out what the daily routine is in this institution, what are the rules, and start accustoming the baby to them.

For example, a woman is accustomed to picking up a child from bed after 10 o'clock, since he does not wake up earlier. In the kindergarten, the day starts at 8 am, which means that the parent should try to wake the baby up early, depending on how far the garden is. At first, the little one will wake up with tears in his eyes, but gradually the whims will pass, and the young sleepyhead will get used to the new regime.

A trip to kindergarten should be associated with the crumbs with the holiday. Ask your spouse to help you, let him tell him about the benefits of visiting the kindergarten, for example, focus on the opportunity to communicate with other children, play with new toys, and have fun. Perhaps at first the baby will listen to his father with distrust, but over time this will pass.

Another problem that parents face is daytime sleep and nutrition. If the baby is used to eating at different times and his taste preferences are different from those accepted in a children's institution, then the mother should gradually accustom the child to the menu that will be in the kindergarten. Less sweets, more fruits, introduce various cereals into your daily diet. Try to teach your child to sleep independently at the same time.

Do not forget that colds are inevitable in kindergarten. Strengthen your baby's immunity in advance so that they are not susceptible to infection from other children. We have already talked about that, but it will not be superfluous to recall the importance of hardening procedures.

What skills should a child have?

After you have chosen a kindergarten, what does your kid need to know and be able to do so that he does not feel like a black sheep in a new environment? Here is a list of what skills a child should have before entering kindergarten:

  1. Eating without help.
  2. Go potty.
  3. Wash your face without the help of caregivers, dry your hands and face with a towel.
  4. Don't be confrontational, play on your own.
  5. Be able to talk about your wants and needs.

These skills are required. As practice shows, many kids start attending kindergarten, while not knowing how to go to the potty. In this case, caregivers help, who in a short period of time teach the child to ask for a potty.

It is worth noting that children painfully experience parting with their mother. Therefore, it is better to gradually accustom the child to the absence of a parent, to leave the baby with grandparents. You can also introduce the child to the future teacher, presenting her as a kind aunt who loves to play with children in educational games. Or try as often as possible with the baby in public places so that his fear of strangers disappears.

What you need to know about adaptation

Often adults complain that children are naughty and do not want to attend kindergarten. This happens in cases where the child is given away without prior preparation in government agency. The only right decision for parents is to visit kindergarten with the baby for a few weeks until he gets used to the new environment.

Take the baby to the kindergarten for an hour, but daily, gradually increase the time spent. If the baby begins to be distracted by communication with other children or toys, then try to quietly disappear from his field of vision.

It is not forbidden to take a toy to the garden (read about) or home slippers so that the child can see things that are familiar to him, which he will associate with home comfort, giving him confidence.

And very soon you will notice how the baby wakes up with pleasure in the morning to go to the kindergarten as soon as possible, to spend time with other children. At this time, you can do your favorite hobby, and if you don’t have it yet, choose a new hobby on our website.

Summer will come soon. For some, it will be the last one held with their parents, because the first team is ahead - a kindergarten. And although the kids themselves will have many pleasant days, new acquaintances, fun games and the first attachments, mothers have a soul in the wrong place. How easily does the child adapt to kindergarten, will he miss home? And most importantly - is it possible to help him in advance, preparing him for the upcoming changes?

Ideal age for garden

Someone thinks that a toddler (1.5 - 2 years old) adapts much faster and easier. The baby quickly gets used to the teacher, considering her a second mother, and adult experiences and bitterness from parting with her parents, due to her age, are not threatened by him yet. Others are sure that it is better to wait until the age of 3 - after all, it is at this age that children not only know how to play games together, but also get great pleasure from friendship. Parents can no longer provide them with the necessary level of communication, and the need for new acquaintances and common games with peers is greatly increasing.

Required Skills

The times when each parent was given a list - a list of necessary skills, are slowly fading into the past. If earlier requirements such as:

  • refusal of diapers;
  • the ability to ask to go to the toilet;
  • independent eating;
  • self dressing and undressing

were necessary, but now the conditions are changing. In most institutions, employees undertake to accustom a child to self-service in a short time. Another important condition is the establishment of a day regimen that corresponds to the schedule of the kindergarten. If the parents manage to prepare the baby in advance, this is wonderful, but if the process is tight, do not worry. Children who are not confident in these skills master them much faster in a team, and the regime quickly returns to normal. Psychological preparation is much more important.

How to prepare a child for kindergarten?

Character and psychological features of each child are much more important than self-care skills and even the age of the future kindergartener. Whether the child will be comfortable in a new team, whether it is easy for him to part with his mother and how quickly he adapts, depends only on the degree of his readiness for life in a team.

  • Parting. A kid who instantly forgets about everything in the world, seeing the company of other children on the playground and staying with relatives for a long time, causes less anxiety than a small tail that starts to worry as soon as the mother moves further than a meter. The preparation of such a child will have to be done in advance, starting to leave the house for short, and then for longer periods.
  • hardening. Everyone knows that one endless disease begins in the garden, passing from a cold to chickenpox and then back to a cold. Don't give up prematurely in the face of the inevitable. Summer is a great period for hardening and raising immunity. The warm months spent in the country or on the seashore will help fight back diseases, the main thing is to forget about greenhouse conditions. Let your baby run barefoot, swim in the ponds and eat fresh fruit. A total ban on cold drinks and drafts will have to be softened, otherwise, these factors can cause frequent illnesses.
  • Communication. Not all children are able to quickly find a common language with their peers. Toddlers, like us, can be shy, and of course, not everyone is a born leader who knows how to gather other children around him. Teach your child to be the first to make an acquaintance, introduce himself and offer to join the game. But it’s not worth letting the existing difficulties in communication take their course - the team in kindergarten is too large, and there is a risk that the baby simply will not be able to show enough courage and independence to join in communication.
  • Openness. It is important to have time to teach the child to trust the elders and reveal to them all their grievances and secrets. The kid should know that, if necessary, he can seek help from the elder - the educator. It is also necessary to trust parents, which means that even before entering the kindergarten, it is required to teach the child to share with mom or dad every evening all the experiences of the day - insults, joys, fears and sorrows.

Are there children for whom kindergarten is contraindicated?

The “Nesadovsky” child is, of course, not a myth. Such children do exist. They have a fever every time they visit a preschool, they withdraw into themselves and suffer quietly until the very arrival of their parents, get up hard in the morning and lose their appetite. The usual adaptation for peers, lasting no more than three months, is delayed for them - the child does not get used to new conditions so much as tolerates them. In this case, the garden will have to be postponed until next year, and a visit to a psychologist and work with parents should be included in the preparation of the baby. Indeed, often the child absorbs maternal anxiety and fears.
